A romantic voyage

Aleenta has a very nice and comfortable setting and a definite plus point is the in-room iPod music that has a good selection. Breakfast is served in room and there is nothing like having a good hearty meal overseeing the blue ocean and sandy beach. The staffs are friendly too. The Ocean view suite has a nice personal jacuzzi. Be prepared for mosquitoes while chatting outside. Use the repellent for a fee or prepare your own. The staffs' service was rather disappointing though. Had drinks with friends the night before and left some cans and a wine bottles by the side in the outdoor area but was not cleared by the staff. The items were left there for a whole day till I had to request them to clear specifically. Tables after breakfast were also not wiped clean when the staff cleared the sets. Not something I would expect of a resort at that level.

Unique Quality: I love the Pool here.

Vanilla Room

Unique Quality: This is one of the Ocean View Suite called The Vanilla Room. Situated on the second storey, it offers twin single beds. There are a whole stretch of windows where you can look out at the sea. However this room is a bit hot (probably due to the direct sunlight streaming into the room) and the air-conditioning does not seem to be cooling the whole room sufficiently despite turning it on full blast.

The bathroom is also a bit dark in the day time as it is facing the west.

Eastward, facing the sun lies a special place

It is a beautiful place, but please be prepared for the long journey ahead. It took us about 3.5 hours from Bangkok to Hua Hin, and more than 4 hours back to Bangkok (due to traffic jam). If you want to avoid taking the van ride, then you may want to consider taking an internal flight from Bangkok to Hua Hin airport. From there, it is just a mere 20-30 mins ride to the resort.

Unique Quality: As for rooms, if you can afford it, just take the Pool suite. Forget about the Ocean View Suite. The pool suite guarantees you a view facing the sea with no obstruction, total privacy, with a hammock, sun tan deck chair, plus a personal dip pool of your own. The Ocean view Suite does not necessarily comes with a personal dip pool, only 1 suite has it I think. Luckily for us, some guest bailed out last minute, and we got an upgrade to Pool Suite for 2 nights. There are no bath tubs in both the Ocean View or Pool Suite where I stayed though.

More about Aleenta Resort

Romantic & boutique ...best hideaway

by joelchew about Aleenta Resort

Did not really stay there ....but visited this resort during my trip to huahin.

All in all , there's only 10 units of accommodation main complex. When I'm there ....it was like OOhh...so beautiful , romantic and mediterranean style.

It is located right on the beach...wow one step out of the suite is the beach.

It is a real nature small luxury resort ...in each suite .

Facilities in the rooms

by paleypei

In every room, you will find a CD stereo set with 2 Aleenta home made CD recordings. You may also buy it at the Front Desk if you liked them enough. The music is a mixture of soothing, new age and chill out. There are also story books for you to read. If you have finished all the books, you can borrow at the Front desk again. There are also chess piece on the shelf. By the way, the Lays are not provided by the resort! There are no TV sets in this resort for those who are looking for entertainment! There are designated movie nights where they screen movies on the upper deck of the open spa at night. But please be prepared to put on mosquito repellent if you are going to do that. By the way, none of the people actually bothered to watch movies at night.

One unique feature of every room is they keep journals of that particular room. Guests are welcomed to pen down their thoughts of the room or their holiday experience in the journal for keepsake.

Hotel Aleenta in Phuket

by bean4bean4

I have been recommended hotel Aleenta on Natai Beach in Phuket.

I have 2 questions:
1) How would you rate this hotel?

2) Is this hotel close to a village (walking distance)? The reason is that we want to have dinner at restaurants nearby. Is it possible at all?

thx a lot
