Dining at the beach in Hua Hin
by sarahreynold about Anantasila Resort Beach Restaurant
Open air or semi-open air dining next to the lovely beach. Nice tropical atmosphere and friendly staff. Reasonable price for drinks including reasonably priced cocktails. Relaxed and easy going. Take a drink at the beach bar and after dinner take a stroll along the wide beach, at full moon this is particularly nice. You can often see the fishing boats out at sea.
Very nice place for a quiet meal at the beach. Good selection of Thai and International dishes plus special menus.
Takiab Bay Beach Hua Hin

Nice and relaxing Hua Hin beach just 7 km / 4 miles south of the center of Hua Hin on the Gulf of Thailand Coast, from Hua Hin go past the Marriott and Hyatt Regency resorts, beyond Khao Takiab Temple and View point, this beach is around the headland in Takiab Bay and you would miss it if you didn't know about it. In addition to nice beach with clear water there are Elephant Rides, Jet Ski, boats to offshore island, long beac, nice restaurants. Also in the area Off Road all terrain buggy riding, cycling, lots of temples, very nice area. Although Hua hin town is very pleasant many find it more built up than expected and perhaps do not venture away from the center, but Khao Takiab is just 10 minutes from the center of Hua Hin and provides so much more for those seeking a relaxing beach and well priced accommodation, Weekend and vacation houses are many together with a couple of hotels, the Anantasila Resort, Bluewave Hotel, Takiab resort, Seahorse, the new Napalai Hua Hin and other hotels, boutique guesthouses and also budget bungalows and cabins.

Khao Takiab Beach - Access to local restaurants & 7-11 type stores?
by spahkee
Thinking about staying south of Hua Hin at Khao Takiab beach - trying to decide between the Hyatt and Anantasila. One thing that worries me is being too isolated out there - can those of you familiar with the area let me know if one property or the other is better for being able to walk to local restaurants for a quick meal of noodles, rice, soup or curry and getting to a convenience store like a 7-11 or equivalent to stock up on snacks and drinks?
Thanks
