Visit the Hua Hin Tourist Info Center
by iNorv9
I highly recommend that you stop by the Hua Hin Tourist Information Center. Here you'll find all sorts of free maps and brochures to help you decide what to do. I knew next to nothing about Hua Hin before arriving, and was able to organize a pretty interesting trip based primarily off information gathered here.
Location: The intersection of Damnoern Kasem and Phetch Kasem Road, two blocks east of the train station.
Hours: 08:30-20:00 daily
Fishing Village
by YaaDong
This is a local fishing village at Khao Takiab Bay in Hua Hin, the boats go out at night for squid. Late at night 'till almost dawn you will always see lights on the horizon and it makes a great sight .
Romantic dinner by the sea
by jenniferchin about Let's Sea
This is a fabulous restaurant ! Getting there seems to be such a hassle, but once you are in its grounds, the setting will take your breath away. There are tables and chairs in covered pavillions, in the outdoors and some overlooking the beach.
The bar commands a building of its own. I found it just gorgeous !! Lovely ceiling windows with large comfy cushions on lounge sofas and low tables complete the look. This very Wallpaper*-ish bar has great chill-out music in thebackground and boasts of exotic mixes of potent cocktails ~ very cool :-)) I couldnt really remember what I had for my dinner, but I know I enjoyed the food. Patrons in tablesnearby were all in full agreement, all gushing with praises over the food and ambience.
The menu was predominantly Fusion ~ heady mix of local Thai and western menus. I took a good 20 minutes deciding on my choice (thats what I recalled) :-)
Hua Hin Train Station

At the left is the Royal Waiting Room of Hua Hin's train station. Built in 1922 when Hua Hin became Thailand's first resort destination and the year after, Hua Hin's first hotel was built (now the Sofitel).
My partner in crime

The purpose of getting out of Bangkok and going to Hua Hin is to take it easy. What better way to take it easy than to swim and lounge around the poolside.
Bing fell in love with Sofitel while we wandered through the grounds. She refused to leave without checking in. We did. How did we make the most of our time there? Ate a huge breakfast and swam in the pool all morning. Where was her husband? Back in the room watching tv. What a way to enjoy Hua hin, huh? ;-)
