Imperial Hua Hin: In the armpit of the King
The hotel is situated about 3 km (2 miles) North from the center, not a perfect location having lively night life, but the security level is high instead, the Kings summer residence is besides; there were 7 war ships patrolling whole the time in the close sea.
Free shuttle to center and back 3 times a day, excellent pool area with bar, seaside beach almost none during morning time, but low tide opened some tens of meter sand. No beach live of sellers, but you could take a walk on the beach almost when ever (but not to King's beach)
Cleaning level good, service excellent as is waited value in Thailand, normal equipment and free internet working perfectly around hotel areas.
There were large party area besides hotel and on the last evening we met a local band there having last rehearsals, the concert took place on the next evening, but we were on our home flight, so we missed that. What a pity.
Breakfast included to the price and it was really excellent. Asian and Western mixture with a cook making omelets according to your wishes. We spent there seven nights and there were very welcome changes to served food on daily basis.

SeaRidge Resort: Wonderful Resort just outside Hua Hin (southwards)
This resort offers a certain amount of 2-3 bedroom rooms and also poolvilla's. It is located outside Hua Hin, about 15-20 minutes drive by car from city centre. The resort is situated alongside a hill, there are not many people around here, which makes it a very peaceful place. From here it is easily to take the servicebus or car to the beach, which is close, although might be too far, depending on temperature, if you wanna walk. The staff of the resort is qualified and evenmore important very friendly. The rooms are very clean, and the terrain is being well kept due to good maintenance. They offer good food for breakfast and you can also have lunch and/ or diner at the resort. Though it is also fun to eat at the local restaurants just on the other side of the road towards the beach of in Hua Hin city centre. I rented a car, which is fun to drive in the area and visit the many attractions around here. Also for shopping it is handy, eg. go to the Market Village if you want to go Lotus Tesco or go to the nightmarket just before the crossover (of the railtrack) just before entering the main city.
Especially for the upperrooms you have an astonishing view of the surrounding area. The view is really beautiful. The rooms are very clean and they offer good food!

Memory Guest House: don't remember this
I struggled to find a place that was cheap without being a complete flee-pit in Hua Hin as places to stay are quite expensive here. The staff seem very disinterested and bored by the whole work thing and don't speak any English so they come across as being rude and blunt, but the guest house is in a good location close to the pier and beach on Naretdamri Road, just to the north of the Hilton Hotel. The guest house is surrounded by good restaurants and bars that are located in the nearby maze of streets. There are mid-sized rooms, all with private bathroom, in a two-storey concrete, longhouse style building. The rooms could do with a renovation, but they are clean enough. The prices are a little expensive for the amenities available and I paid 500 baht for mine, down from 550 baht, which came with a/c, a bone hard double bed, small table with 2 chairs, small TV with BBC News and 40-odd other channels, wardrobe with a lockable cupboard inside and a hot water shower. I didn't have any problems here but others I've read have.

Courtyard Cha Am: Courtyard Cha Am nice trendy design New hotel
Very nice new hotel with impeccable service. All rooms are seafront and roomy with a big balcony. bathrooms are extremely clean. all for 3000B nett for 3 inc 2 breakfast. A really good price for a good hotel in the area. The only thing is the location. The beach in front is really crap. convenient store right in front of the hotel and there is a local restaurant next door down the beach. Taxi to HH is 250B flat.

All nations guest house.: Nice little budget guest house.
All nations guest house is located right in the center of Hua Hin just one block from the seafront.
It's a typical thai budget guest house that is very well run by some friendly people.
The room i had was basic, but clean and the price was very fine.
Receprion staff was alsways very friendly and helpful with all questions i had and they made a nice stay even better.
Only negative thing there was that the place seemed to be inhabited mostly by a crowd of middle aged single men from one country who were not interested in communicating with anyone outside their own group and they were a bit of a negative bunch.
I guess this could quiclky change though, so i suggest you give the all nations guest house a chance if you are in Hua Hin and want a cheap and nice place to stay.
Central location and very friendly staff.

Various: Hotels Hua Hin
Sofitel is close to town and fantastic. Alila is outa town but rooms are better, more interesting than Sofitel. Great design. Dusit also outa town a bit but I love it, great pools. All have a great reputation and you can't go wrong. If you have your own transport it's ok to be out of town, otherwise the tuk tuks are expensive and hard to find at night. Hilton I have never stayed at but comes recommended from friends.
