Service is excellent and similarly our tour guides gave good service. Our meals were served on time in huge proportions. Reason being that they do not have a 24hr F&B facility so they have to stuff the guests to keep them satisfied. You can't walk to any convenient store too!
A/C works well but for a tent, it had to be tuned to 18-20 deg C for effective cooling. The tents are clean and tidy. No phone and no TV. Music from the insects and birds that are native in Kanchanaburi provide "piped" entertainment.
The torn up Death Railway is very near. Read here for my attempt to walk it.
Great views of the Kwai Noi River. A pool that uses water channeled from the Kwai Noi River. Restaurant/dining area is a balcony overlooking the Kwai Noi. There is a wooden memorial cross at the back of the camp. This was a hospital camp area where 23 PoWs died.
The actual disused Burma-Thailand Death Railway is just a walk away. It is doable but be prepared with water and mozzie repellant. Preferably good boots though trainers are good enough. Light clothing is preferred.
