I will be leaving the country in one week, from Manila to Bangkok then go to Pattaya with my 1 year old baby boy.

Probably too late now - use your husband to carry the bags! He should be meeting you at the airport anyway!

There are free pushcarts available in the luggage pick up area and only a short haul from there to the arrivals hall.

I would pay the same as you would in the Philippines.
(Usually one of the tourists standing around waiting for their own bags will help you with the heavy bags, I know I do, especially if you had a baby in your arms!)

Travel Tips for Pattaya

Walking Street

by shelnlin

Walking Street is a Street in Pattaya which is great for just about anything. Souvenirs, Suits and soups can all be bought here and it is most famous because it doesn't allow any vehicles to travel done it after 7pm so you can literally "walk" down here without having to dodge a Motorbike, Car or Taxi and like the rest of Pattaya, it looks fantastic with all it's neon lights at night time. Bars with names like Prettygirl a Go-go or Dollhouse a Go-go are names that will surely attract the Single male and funny names Playboy tailors make you kind of giggle!

Local Mini Buses

by ratherton

The easiest way to get around Pattaya is on one of the many buses (which are pick-ups with a roof).

They are very simple to use, flag one down, hop one, press the buzzer when you want to get off and pay the driver.

Huge portions

by Travel2write about The SPORTSMAN

Great pub and restraunt! Brithish owned and ran, this restraunt opens for breakfast lunch and dinner. Opens at 08:30 til 2 AM. great steaks and has all you can eat specials every night. Roasted pork and many other great dishes.

Watersports at Pattaya's beaches

by georeiser

Pattaya beach and Jomtien beach are great places to do many kinds of watersports. The prices are not too high compared with other places. You can expect to be asked many times a day by the local beach boys. The prices are fixed as a rule, but try to bargain and see if you can get a cheaper price.

Pattaya, A Wretched Place

by Rainmon

"A Wretched Place"

Don’t waste your time unless you just want to party with cheap, ignorant village/bar girls, shaved head tattooed hooligans, misfits, drifters, gangsters and other weirdoes on the lamb. At least half the farangs (foreigners) in this town are certifiably crazy. Don't get me wrong, there are a few good Thai people (but mainly hustlers) and farangs, but, for the most part, there are many crazy and desperate people there and very high suicide rate.

Now I am back in Texas moving to Bangkok soon to start an ecommerce biz.
