The worst service I ever Had
Myserlf and 4 of my friends stayed in Beverly Plaza in Pattaya from 19th Nov to 22nd Nov, first let me list the two good things about the hotel, first it is close to the walking street and good break fast, and the worst is rest all, U treated like a unwanted guest, the hotel needs some nenewation badly, and if you are a Asian please dont go, they have different standard for Asians and Europeans.
Unique Quality: Nothing to mention everything is Bad.

Tried and tested
Very convenient and comfortable despite the renovation going on. Should be a decent location after a year. Very Friendly Staff.

Hotel Under US$50
Can anyone recommend a hotel with a/c, satellite TV, restaurants, and decent pools for under $50 in Pattya? Does this even exist? Also can you tell me some places to eat, places to SCUBA, and good shopping areas? Thanks!!

The Woodlands Resort may fit the bill for your hotel.
PIC Kitchen and Ruen Thai are good for Thai food, Sher E Punjab is very good for Indian food, Nang Nual is one of the best for fresh seafood.
Royal Garden Plaza and Mike's Shopping mall are good for shopping.

There are just so many, $ 50 is B 2,000 and for that you will get a good hotel, I agree Woodlands is nice, lots of others like Central Wongamat, the Tropicana has good location, facilities and great value. If you want a quieter area 10 minutes from Pattaya then over the hill is Jomtien Beach, Welcome Jomtien beach, Jomtien Thani, lots to choose from. B 2,000 a night for Pattaya covers the majority of places. You will get a/c, mini bar, swimming pool/s, stalite tv, restaurants, bars, easy within that price. Lots of great restaurants, PIC Kitchen and Tuen Thai great for Thai food, Ruen Thai also has Thai dance. Shopping from Malls to street stalls, great fun and cheap. Not the place for scuba, you can snorkel on some small offshore islands south of Pattaya, there are days trips available. Try pattaya.travelreporter.com for lots of places.
Pattaya Music festival is March 18-20 so if you plan over that time or over Thai New year ( 12 - 15 April area ) they book well ahead.
