Diana Inn

I recently spent over a week in Pattaya, Thailand and was very impressed with the Diana Inn. It is very nice and clean compared to the lower priced options. It has 24 hour room service, a pool, and it has an internet cafe (30 baht for 30 minutes). I think it also has internet service for each room but you will need to verify. It is on the corner of Second Road and Soi Diana Inn. Lots of beer bars and eating locations in vicinity. Very easy to catch a "baht bus" at front door as it is on their northbound route. No joiner guest fee. The beer bars across the street can be loud, but they close at 2 am and if your in Pattaya for fun you won't be going to bed earlier than 2 am anyway. Family Mart and 7-11 nearby, and easy walk to McDonalds and Royal Garden Plaza. If your a golfer, there is a free shuttle every hour to Diana Driving Range. The hotel travel service can also set up daily excursion trips to Million Year Old Stone Park, Crocodile Farm, Mini-Siam Etc. or they can arrange golf lessons or golf at a course of your choice. The lobby bar is open 24 hours, good breakfast buffet each morning. For evening, the Green Bottle Pub is part of the property and serve good dinner food and have live music till 2 am. The staff was always polite and helpful. The rooms had very good air-conditioning (a must for Thailand) and large clean bathrooms. If I ever return to Pattaya, I would stay here again.

Unique Quality: The hotel can also set up a driver to meet you at the airport for extra cost. At 2000 baht it's more expensive than other options but gets you to town quickly.

This hotel is on a good location, second road between soi 12 and 11. So many different rooms, i have a small suite and the quality is standard for Pattaya. The most important thing is the good atmosphere trough the hotel. Nice pool and really good restaurant. It's near everything.

This was a Lonely Planet recommendation back in 1987 and I see that it still is in the latest edition. Either the place is still going strong or LP don't update their accommodation tips.
I'm not sure of the value of adding a place here that I went to a long time ago but it may still be okay. Back then it was a good place and the value was excellent.
