Budget Accomodation in December.

by traveller82_80

Hello Everyone,

The last time i posted stuff in here.. i got pretty decent information and it worked well for my budget. However i have just checked a few hotels for this years new years eve. its become real expensive which i understand. the last time i stayed in a hotel which was a Standard Air Con / Double bed for 500 BTH. Now the same place is priced for 1300 a nite. any places where they have the rates like till 600 bath? Pls let me know. Thanks.

Please let me know.

Everything is a little higher at New Years Eve.

This is a cheap place on Soi Skawbeach off of Pattaya 2nd Road. Cheena House.
There are other hotels on this same soi.

Other guest houses and small hotels on Soi Honey Inn where you can use the Bay Breeze for a MAP reference. Across from the Intown Holiday Hotel is a cheap place called the New Star. Near this place is the Captains Bar and Hotel.

You can check the Apex Hotel, this is where they have the "all you can eat" buffet for 110. Back rooms might be around 600 baht or 700.

There are several hotels on and off of Soi Baukhaw that may be in your price range. Canterbury or places nearby might be okay.

Price goes down after the holidays. Price is cheaper for longer stays.

All of the above hotels/guest houses will have other places to check out nearby.

Travel Tips for Pattaya

Fun but oh so sleazy.......

by mattdavies1971

Wish I'd done a little bit more research before we'd gone. Don't get me wrong we had a fun time but the whole town just drips with sleaze.
The beach is too poluted to swim in even coral island accross the bay is a let down and what really makes your stomach turn after a day or so is the sheers amount of older european/australian guys walking around with the local girls -no wonder Mr Glitter loved the place so much.
So if you are visiting make sure you go then you stay in a decent hotel so you can avoid the conversations of middle aged men comparing their viagra fuelled "fun"

1100 Baht - Airport to Pattaya with no Hassle

by gaolei

Pattaya Taxi service is the easiest, cheapest car to Pattaya that I have found. It is easy to arrange, just send an email from their web page giving your name, arrival time and flight number. They take care of the rest.

On the last trip, I used their service. I sent the required email and got a reply the next morning. When I arrived at 11:00 PM, someone was waiting, holding a sign with my name on it at exit 3 in the arrival area at Bangkok airport. He helped with my bags, and I followed him to the parking garage. His car was new, clean and comfortable. It took 1 hour and 15 minutes to get to my hotel at the south end of Pattaya.

The best part was no hassle! He picked me up and took me the fastest way to Pattaya. There was no asking for more money, no fight over the route, no "you pay toll", no problems at all. He also offered to stop for food or rest room. The price was 1100 baht and not a baht more. I gave the driver a tip, but I was not asked for one.

alcazar all man show

by con80

WOW!! what a show !!! we would definately recommend you go to this spectacular show !!! it's just brilliant. each performer is a man and looking at them you would never guess, as well as the show being performed by only men, each performance is great, it's mainly dancing but in different ways. And the out fits are amazing. it's not expensive either !!!

your holiday to pattaya will not be complete without a trip to the alcazar show !!!!

BIG BUDDHA

by STRATOS79

The Big Buddha is between Pattaya and Jomtien Beach known as Pratumnuk Hill the steps lead to a painted gold image of Buddha 300 feet high and to one of the best places (point view) to enjoy your evening looking at pattaya city
