Serviced Apartments
Since there were 8 people in my group, we rented a deluxe suite in LK Metropole. I found this site while browsing directrooms.com, but unfortunately, the site did not offer the suites. We booked directly, and was given a discount. There were 2 big rooms, 3 bathrooms, kitchen and a living room. It is not a beachfront property, but there was also a balcony, which allowed us to view the sea from our room. Service was really good, and we checked in a lot earlier than expected. We arrived at around 10 am from Bangkok, and the staff allowed us to get into our suite. We also requested for a baby cot, and they immediately attended to our request. There was a jacuzzi at the rooftop, but it was not open, so my nephews just used the pool in front of the hotel. We got really tired one night so we just decided to order room service, and i loved the green curry dish! The attendant was very acccomodating to our requests, such as extra plates, utensils, etc. The hotel was walking distance from the beach, and major department stores in the area. The only thing that I did not like about the hotel was its breakfast buffet. It was very limited, and mostly ate curry for breakfast. In spite of this, I highly recommend this hotel, especially to large groups who would like to stay in one suite to have more bonding time.
