    Top location for this quality hotel. Directly connected to the most exclusive shopping center, the Royal Garden plaza. Open air lobby with nice view of the garden and the pool. I stay in the deluxe room, in the main building, superb beach and pool view. The room is large with confortable balcony. Standard room have only garden view. Superb pool and garden with Thai style restaurant, really good service. 3 entrance, directly from the shopping, from beach road and second road.

    Update January 2009. At least some, if not all, rooms have been refurbished. I stayed in one of the new rooms, a garden view suite, and have to say it was one of the nicest rooms I have stayed in. They have also opened a slightly larger Executive Lounge. The staff continue to be excellent.

    I have stayed at the Marriott in Pattaya four times in the past 3 years. I am a fan of Thailand, but not so much of Pattaya. The one thing that made me return to this most notorious of Thai resorts is this hotel. The level of service, especially if you opt for an “executive” room has been excellent. Although I have to say that last year it was not quite up to the previous years. I do prefer Phuket or Samui, but if I have to go to Pattaya then this is the only place I would stay.

    Apart from the standard of the rooms and the very large swimming pool the other great thing is the location. If you want to be right in the heart of things, but blissfully unaware of what is going on your doorstep this is a good place to stay.

    • Staying in Thailand is an experience in itself, but my stay at the Pattaya Marriott Resport and Spa was a top 10. The grounds here are among the most beautiful I've seen, staff was extremely friendly and helpful, and you're just steps away from the beach, restaurants, nightlife and great bargain shopping. What more could you ask for?!

    Visit the pool... you'll definitely feel the need for a fruity tropical drink! - Umbrella required!

    • I have been to Pattaya many, many times, and have stayed in the majority of the hotels in the area. This one is by far the best.

    The location is perfectly situated, within a few walking minutes of everything from bars to shopping. Of note would be that this isn't too big a deal with all the "baht buses" on the road, but for many it is important.

    Rooms are gorgeous, with dark wood flooring and furniture in all the rooms in which I have stayed. They are always clean, and immaculate.

    Breakfasts are on the house, and what a spread it is. Large buffet that rivals what you find in Las Vegas lineups.

    There is a gym and spa for those interested, and the pool is well designed with a "wet bar".

    The Marriott resort Pattaya has a central location, it is not a beach hotel but is a short walk from the main busy beach area in Pattaya City. The Pattaya Marriott is a tropical style hotel in Pattaya central area. The resort faces the sea with the beach just a few steps away and features its own adjacent shopping mall, restaurants and entertainment outlets. The Marriott is an idea Pattaya hotel if you want a luxury hotel in the center of Pattaya. This is an excellent Marriott resort. One of the best Pattaya Hotels.

    Excellent Marriot style service and accommodation for those wanting a luxury hotel in the very center of Pattaya.

    The Pattaya Marriott Resort is a deluxe resort located on Pattaya beach, near the major shopping centers, restaurants and entertainment spots. As with other Marriott resorts, the service is impeccable and the rooms tastefully furnished in Thai style. A perfect resort to relax by the poolside bar after a day at the beach.

    I like the sumptous buffet breakfast at the Garden Cafe which overlooks the swimming pool. A generous spread of Western and Thai dishes are served and makes a good start to a day at the beach.

    Unless anyone has not done their homework on Pattaya, we are all in agreement that it is a destination sought for its nightlife and leisure industry.
    Thankfully all of that stays outside the gates at the Marriott. There is security at every entrance that keep the more risque adult activities and guests outside. The result is a very clean, comfortable, respectable and family friendly resort. In short it is a calm heaven in the midst of some of the chaos of drinking, neon lights, go-go bars and street walkers.

    The staff are wonderfully attentive and courteous. The rooms have been renovated so they are quite spacious and comfortable. The beds allow for great sleep. The shower heads have a little to be desired of since they spray from overhead... but that can be easily forgiven.

    If you are book on a corporate rate, they will most likely include breakfast and internet at no additional cost. If not, the buffet is wonderful, but will cost a couple hundred baht. Regardless of corporate perks, the lobby offers free WiFi.

    There is a nice patio, sizable pool, tennis court and fitness center. Business center needs are also available. Hertz rental counter is at the concierge (you need International in order to rent).

    Contact the hotel and they will arrange transfers with a private car to/from the airport. Base rates start at 2000 Baht for the 1-1/2 hour ride. Rates go up if you choose larger sedans.

    This hotel was very nice.....our family of five stayed in adjacent rooms overlooking the garden. The gardens and pool are one of the selling points of the Marriott Pattaya - very attractive, and the pool was kid friendly. There is no Kids Club.

    The hotel is adjavent to a mall, which has a lot of restaurant choices if you need "western food" for kids (Sizzler, Au Bon Pain, McDonalds, etc.). It also has a Ripley's Believe It of Not! - not an essential visit. There was a very nice Italian restaurant across the street from the main entrance we liked a lot.

    The Marriott doesn't have its own beach, and the beach next to it wasn't very nice. In addition, the area is a hotbed of go-go bars and loitering transvestites, so wandering too far from the hotel is not advised for parents with kids.
