which month do you want to go there?

Ask SirHalberd - he lives in Pattaya and is very knowledgeable about it.

Off season no problem getting a hotel with air, hot water, TV and private toilet shower starting around 500 baht.

Rooms with free internet not as easy to come by. There are internet shops that charge 20 or 30 baht an hour where you can use their computer or your own. At the worse, if you don't ask an expat where to go, it is no problem finding places that charge 1 baht a minute.

All you can eat breakfast buffets start around 105 baht. Regular simple breakfast start around 45 baht.

Most hotels under 1200 baht are guest friendly.

Walking street the most expensive place to bar hop. Mostly it is new tourists go there. All along Pattaya 2nd Road and Beach Road plus many side sois bars are much cheaper.

Who has access to records of what goes on in hotels? There is theft from time to time in all hotels even expensive places - sometimes the thieves are foreigners and not the hotel employees!

Transportation is only 10 baht. You don't actually have to stay in the Walking Street area.

Free wifi:

There are more and more cheap hotels with free wifi but without fancy websites!

If you come during high season get what you can and don't worry about free breakfast or wifi. Get a place to stay and check out other places.

Good luck.

I recommend the Sea me Springhotel in Soi 10 beach road. Its a brand new hotel and I stayed there also 2weeks ago, i just walked in. It fits you requirements and i think you will like it. there website is still underconstruction as you can see they just opend this month. according to them the website will be available soon. what i liked about this hotel is the staff room comfort, location only few meters from walkingstreet and central festival, o yeah also the rooftop swimmingpool with nice view was my favorite!

check it out i would say..

Travel Tips for Pattaya

Pattaya hotels and accommodation

by sarahreynold

There are plenty but is depends how much you want to spend. Pattaya is a city with beaches so lots to do, redstaurants, shopping and plenty of attractions. The majority of visitors to Pattaya are in fact Thai and it gets busy with weekend visitors. The A-One Cruise hotel is good, designed as a cruise liner, opposite busy part of the beach, there are also very nice places at Naklua North Pattaya or south of Pattaya City at Jomtien Beach. Belle Villa Cabana is also nice.
We really need to know your budget, though Pattaya hotels are very good value. pattaya has entertainment and nightlife in the central areas, there are also excellent top class restaurants, some with Thai classic shows. There are also Thai cultural shows such as Alangkran Pattaya.
Transport around Pattaya is very cheap compared with other beach and tourist areas in Thailand. There are also lots of vacation rental accommodations. value for money, lots to see and do, restaurants, sightseeing.

Cheap & clean

by colin_bramso

The owners look after their tuk tuks very well, the inside at least - judging by the black smoke billowing from the exhaust of most of them, they don't do much work on the engines!
The fare needs to be negotiated in advance - there's a locals rate and a tourists rate, so negotiate hard.

Mini Siam

by Ah_jack

If you go to Pattaya, dont miss the Mini Siam. This places is quite a nice places to visit and of course take photo.
Over there, it like you have visit a lot of places within an hour , likes hollywood, New york, Egypt, etc....

Pattaya international music festival

by georeiser

Pattaya music festival takes place in the month of March every year. The event for 2010 was from March 19-21. The Music Festival is held in the evenings, and the beach road is closed for traffic.

There was 4 stages, one at the Green Stage at Soi 4, one at the Blue Stage in front of Central Festival in Pattaya beach, one at the Orange Stage at Bali Hai Pier and one at the Pink stage in front of Royal Garden Plaza. The area from the Dusit Resort Hotel to Walking Street was full of activities and stalls (see pictures).
