BUG-EATER?
by RoyJava
People prepare this bizarre food like delicacies in a lot of areas in the Far East. It's said that civilization made people weak when started to eat out of cages. It's said the Immune System (Immunity) got weaker, included the health of our bodies, because we stopped eating natural food like vegetables and meat grown in the wild! Thailand still consumes all kind of things out of the wild. Bug dishes are not that favourites with tourists and, eating roasted, sugared mealworms, scorpion-soup and deep fried cockroaches disgust most of Western people. So please, take some time to find out about the effects of our civilization ... and try one bug! Just for your IS! Hahaha, eating a bug isn't that bad, is it? Just the mass of these creepy creatures on a plate worries us, does it? I had some cicades, I had some worms once, and my grandmother used to be so good in preparing some other dishes I forgot the exact name. Walking in Pattaya and Bangkok I always am looking for the insects vendor carts on the market, even it still gives me the creeps!
SCORPIONS To Eat
Drinking till the sun comes up
by Ike_2005 about Red Lion
This is just your average bar in Thailand. It just so happened to be right across the street from my hotel, so I'd go there once I was done partying up on walking street. I felt safer there since it was right next to where I lived. I met a few cool foreigners to shoot the *** with, and there were plenty of girls to talk to and play with. You probably don't even need shorts in this joint. just bring money for brew and you're good to go.
Halal Restaurant
by caprina about No Name
For a muslim the first thing to check the halal status of the restaurant, there is not many muslim restaurant I found during my trip at Pattaya. But for sure you can find a muslim restaurant near to the mosque you can find at pattaya. It may not be located adjacent to the mosque but you have to ask around to find it. You just find the "moon and star" sign at the entrance but you may asked to confirm the halal status.
One of my favourite is a restaurant at central pattaya road, it is a small restaurant with no name but to talk to their workers is quite difficult. they dont understand english but a body language will do the trick, they even have a english menu to assist the tourist.. thai menu with english transalation. What I like most about the restaurant is the price and the food taste GOOD.. another muslim restaurant is located at the Soi Nern Plub Wan quite difficult to go (far from the beach area) unless you take a taxi.. but the food is not that good.

On the way to the bars or dinner, go take a look. You should always take the time to notice how life changes as the sunsets. Either on vacation or in your everyday life, just take a break. My whole trip was based around some beaches, finally....

Pattaya Beach
One of the most famous beaches in Thailand but not the most great. Most famous because located in Pattaya, because have a lot of water sports, because have a lot of people.......and... If u like to swim in more clear beach you have to choise another one. From Pattaya pier there are some speed boads for one day trip opposite in the small islands like Ko Lan that you find clear beaches.
