The Royal Cliff Beach Resort is set in a 64-acre tropical estate overlooking the Gulf of Siam. There is a choice of four hotels within the complex each with its own distinctive style from basic to luxurious accommodation. There are ten restaurants to choose from so you are spoilt for choice dining here. Some cuisines include Thai, Chinese, Japanese, Indian, Italian, and various European dishes. The Resort also has five bars offering beer and wines from all over the world. I can still remember the look on the barman's face after he poured me a Chimay Blue. I don't think he believed beer could be so dark in colour. I was worried thatt he would tip it out as beer that has spoilt in transit from Belgium.
The Royal Cliff Beach Resort also offers leisure facilities with 5 swimming pools, 7 tennis courts, 2 squash courts, a jogging trail, fitness centre with sauna and steam room, games room with a children's playground, private catamaran and 4-hole putting green and watersports.

The beach cove of Royal Cliff from my balcony by haikugirlmanila You know what people say about Pattaya... It's probably Asia's biggest cluster of go-go bars, sex peddling and Gawd knows what. Anyone can accuse me of being a prude (I am not, but Pattaya just brought out the schoolmarm in me) but I was actually scared to death of going to this city. So when the company sent me as a representative for an industry convention and got me to stay at Royal Cliff, I was relieved. Royal Cliff is waaay, waaay off the street where all the bars are. It's a quiet enclave with its own beach cove, so at least I didn't get bothered by junk peddlers, female street walkers. To people who might be offended by this statement, I know they have every right to hawk their "trade" and make a living, but seeing women offer themselves on a daily basis is not my idea of cultural immersion. Many tourists and officials have turned a blind eye on this, but for me, its extremely painful to take a break knowing a sex trade is happening 10 feet away. Anyway, going back to Royal Cliff... What's great about it is its fairly secluded to everything. Its the more affordable version of Royal Cliff Grand, so you get a sense of exclusivity. Plus the cafe food is not bad either. The Royal Cliff Spa is also very good (but being Thailand where you can get good massages anywhere, this place is quite overpriced... If you don't feel like paying 1500 baht for a massage, then I suggest you hie your massage-hungry bum somewhere else.
