Re: Lawn Bowls Club

There is one off of Soi Bao kaw. It is like the thrid road from the beach road across from Happy Thai Massage, Happy Travel, and Happy Hotel. Caddy corner of Club Xicite. There are english sports pubs at major intersection. You can go in there and ask. I am traveling right now and do not have my notes with me, sorry about that, but there is a lawn bowl club that is open and free to the public in Pattaya. Have fun, cheers Tommy x

Here is a map link for Pattaya City.

One place is between Soi Boukhaw and Third Road. Maybe Soi excite, not positive.
Look at the below map, find Soi Diana (Areca Lodge) and follow it to Soi Boukhaw (Boo Kow is close enough) look for the road that angles off to the letter "A" and look on the left side for the lawn bowl place. If that is not the right soi you are in the right area. I think you pass by a bakery named "The Continental Bakery and Restaurant."

From Jomtien Beach you have to get to Pattaya City, there is a baht bus that will take you right down to Pattaya 2nd Road for 20 baht. You catch that baht bus near the police station on the beach. Ask an expat to point out where you stand, I think there is a Seven Eleven or similar store at the stop. If you know where the Friendship Supermarket and TukCom Electronics Mall is located you can also take a baht bus right down Soi Buakhaw.

Good luck.
Travel Tips for Pattaya
BIG BUDDHA IMAGE
by RoyJava
When going from Pattaya to the beach of JomTien just the top of the head-dress of the golden Big Buddha image is to be seen. In a little park you may visit this Big Buddha statue and see also the 7 Buddhas for each day of the week. A lovely and peaceful area to stay for a while. I love to be close at the tall Phra Buddha Sukhothai, the Big Buddha statue. And climbing the stairs, with the beautifully decorated Nagas, or mythical snakes. The Tuesday Buddha is very special to me. Because Tuesday sometimes is dedicated to the Goddess, and downstairs of the Big Buddha area the little sacred environment, dedicated to Kun Iam/Quan Yin, is located, the Goddess of Mercy & Special Dedication. Super !!!
Food and Clothings
by Ah_jack about Lotus
There is 2 Lotus at Pattaya... just like the Big C Supermarket, its sell almost everything you wants.
Buy anything from there at fixed prices and don't need to worry of being cheated by the prices. Its sure worth the prices.
Hiring A Taxi to Pattaya
by Arjaree
Another way to go to Pattaya without any hassle is to hire a taxi. This is not a cheap choice but pretty comfortable.
Last time, about a month ago, me and my friend hired a taxi to Pattaya for one day. We paid 1,500BHT, including the toll way fee. The driver took us there and offered to take us around but we only wanted to sit on the Jomtien beach. Then, by 5.30pm we left the beach and back to Bangkok.
If you want only one ride, you should not pay more than 1,000BHT. Bargain.
Visit the Computer Store
by gaolei
People always ask if there is a computer store in Pattaya that is like the Pantip plaza in Bangkok. Well, Yes there is. It is know locally as Tuckcom. It is about six floors of computers, cameras, phones, and, of course, pirate software, DVDs and MP3 disks.
Khao Chee Chan, Pattaya
by Wann
Khao Chee Chan is 15 Km. south of Pattaya City, turning left from Sukhumvit Highway at Km.160., not so far from Wat Yansangwararam and Viharnra Sien. There 's a Buddha Image on the cliff, made by laser. Arond the area, there is a green nice park.
