Hows Pattaya doing?

by traveller82_80

Hello friends,

I will be reaching Bangkok on 24th June early morning with my pals; mainly to visit Pattaya .

1.) I heard there was a curfew in place in Bangkok till the 30th May. Is it still there? We wanted to shop in Bangkok while coming back from Pattaya. Will that be possible? Can you also tell me what places or markets I can go to shop for clothes and shoes? (jeans, tshirts, sneakers)

2.) We are hoping to enjoy in Pattaya. Is the place still active like it was before? I had a wonderful time the last time around. People there are wonderful and thats one reason we love being here. Are the streets still on till late in the nights?

Your help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

You should have no problem as they are cleaning up the mess left behind and moving forward. Pattaya is still the same, safe and fun with good common sense. Shopping in Bangkok can still be found in the MBK center, but when in Pattaya, check out the Caurrfour store in Central Pattaya. Inside they have vendors there where I found many bargins, beside Mike's Shopping Mall. The streets in Pattaya is wide open again. Remember to take a ferry to the Samae beach in Koh Lan. A great get away for 30 baht ferry ride from Bali hai pier. Cheers Tommy x

Pattaya is doing perfectly all right, no curfews, nothing. It is business as usual; Pattaya has been virtually unaffected since the whole drama began a few months ago. Nothing to worry about.

Just came back yesterday from Pattaya. Try Honey Inn Massage Parlour on Soi 11. It has just opened on Saturday. Its a nice polished place. Like someone said ... there are many parlours there... and pattaya is at its best as of now.. lots of fun and the soccer matches have added more spice to the parties. Watching the matches at the bars was soooo much fun! wish i cud have stayed longer till the end of the fifa WC. :) Thank you everyone for your advice.

Travel Tips for Pattaya

Ahhh... relax... unwind.... and enjoy...

by shelnlin

One of the nicest things I enjoy doing whenever I am in Thailand is to have a nice massage. There are so many scattered around the place that the traveller is rather spoilt for choice. Some are better than others and some also include Beauty treatments such as facials, manicures, and pedicures. VIP Sauna and Steam is what it says it is and of course has a wonderful massage service. VIP Sauna and Steam massage was a place reccomened to me by a Thai friend who would use this place themselves. For one hour a person could relax and undwind by having a massage for a minimal price (I think I paid about around the 100-300 baht price mark for one hour).

A girl is then picked out by the manager and is assigned to you to take your cares away from you while you enjoy having her take away all those aches and pains. If she is good you can then ask for her number and she will be your massuese next time you come to visit. I had my own massage done by Vi- Lai who was Massage girl number 19.

VIP Sauna and Steam can be located at 533 Pattaya Soi 10, Pattaya 2nd Road. Ph 429543

Come To The Cabaret

by RoyJava about A L C A Z A R

Ofcourse it is worth paying a visit to the famous Alcazar Cabaret, once in Paris the hot-hotter-hottest night-show. Actually I was surpised to see this Paris show at Pattaya is so often visited by a lot of Chinese. For the show has some good Chinese items.

For Europeans the show indeed is not that good, and the choreographics are really bad. Though the beauty of some of the performing kathoeys is stunning, extraordinary, amazing and superbe, so ...
come to the cabaret of A L C A Z A R !!! Maybe in former times there used to be a special dress code... for now just sneak in with your ticket...

There's a small zoo inside million years stone park, it takes abt half an hour journey in the zoo. Crocodile show is also one of the popular programme in the zoo. You can also pay 40 baths to take photo with tiger or bear.
