It is so difficult to get information about this place. There has been a previous posting re this and a VT member from Aust is going in December and hopefully she will post on this form re her time there. I'm going Oct. next year and from the little I have found on the internet it looks like a nice place.

This info is from a Google search.

Address:
404/5 Moo 12, Thappraya Road, Jomtien Beach, T. Nongprue, A. Banglamung
Chonburi, Thailand, Asia 20260

The unique situation of View Talay Villas makes this an exceptional place to visit. On site facilities include a large club house and pool as well as international restaurants. The club house offers a gymnasium, poolside bar and sauna amongst the other facilities designed to make this a holiday resort of real luxury. The furnishings, fittings and attention to detail create an ambience of high quality. The units available range from studio apartments to detached villas, some with private pools. The resort is within easy reach of all that central Pattaya has to offer.

Never stopped in to look around. I prefer a place closer to the tourist center of Pattaya so I can walk to most places.

This link is from a timeshare forum:

If you are going to move there permanently that is one thing, you would probably get a car or motor bike and be able to drive everywhere you need to be at. If you are just using this place like a hotel then my preference is something closer to the city center (between Beach Road and Pattaya 2nd Road.)

Happy Holidays

Travel Tips for Pattaya

Clothings

by Ah_jack about Mike Shopping Mall

Mike shopping mall sell clothings for both male /female.
This building is relatively old already, and looks that its going to collapse soon..haha
Outside the mall, there a lot of stalls selling foods and fruits. the fruits looks very fresh and nice. Cheaps clothings, but still not as cheap as Bangkok.

Baht Buses

by Travel2write

Within Pattaya pick-up trucks known as baht busses (or songthaew) serve as the public transportation system. Baht Busses drive on several routes throughout the city. On set routes along Beach road and Second Road area the normal price is 5 Baht. Foreigners are typically advised to pay 10 baht within town; dual pricing of this sort is not uncommon in Thailand, although some foreigners do choose to pay only the official fare, and it is not clear whether this will sometimes result in difficulties with the driver.

See the world in one day @ Mini Siam

by austarman

This is an amazing place with miniature replica's of many of the worlds most famous buildings.
Also there are very good replica's of most of Thailand's Temples, Landmarks and buildings.
All have detailed plaques to describe what each replica is and where in the world the life size version is situated.

"Koh Larn"

I went to Coral Island for a day excursion. I went just for snorkling. The Island is close to Pattaya (5 kilometers) and there are more than 5,000 tourists daily so that is a damper for snorkling.

When I asked around they told me that Nual Beach in the south of Koh Larn has the best snorkling. There was some good snorkling around the sunken barge and at the point (just to the right of the barge). Later I was told if I went to the right of the point the snorkling gets a lot better but the risk of jet ski boats increase. Just beyond the barge the water depth goes to 30 feet where there are scuba divers. I snorkeled out there but could not get down far enough to see the reef using my snorkel and no fins. Our tour package took us only to Tein Beach so we had to rent a scooter at 300 Bt per hour to get to Nual Beach. We took a wrong turn otherwise it would only take a few minutes by scooter. The snorkel and mask we rented there for 100 Bt. They had fins but they were too small for me.

"Parasail"

"Thai Kickboxing"

Some of the bars in Pattaya are open air right off the main street and feature Thai kickboxing. I went in and captured this knockout kick.
