I stayed at Rayong Resort in 2006 which's quite a nice place, private beach, peaceful atmosphere.

About the weather, May is still the end of summer here and in June about to start rainy.

I spent a lot of time in Rayong in hotels like the Star Hotel, a hotel that is in the city. You do want a hotel near the beach if you plan to be a tourist in Rayong. The city itself has nothing going for it. It is hot and boreing. The hotels like the Star are good, but only for a business person who has to be there.

Phala Cliff Beach Resort In general, services are good in comparison to the economical price, very quiet location, Great pool with views over the sea. I recommend renting a bicyle, its easy going as its quite flat, and it enables you to see the surrounding country side at a comfortable pace.
