The resort is like a time machine for its guests!

We have visited visited in February this Mae Klong's first colonial house that has been converted into a boutique resort after being a bed and breakfast for several years. The house that was constructed during the reign of King Rama VI and crafted by Chinese craftsmen is combining Western and Thai architecture and is facing the river. Located 100 m from the pier, opposite to Mae Klong railway station, the resort is like a time machine for its guests which takes them back to a bygone era by the river. It offers authencity with its retro design as well as contemporary elements in its garden. Despite the ageing wooden structure and surroundings, all the rooms are clean and in good condition. Their facilities are like these offered in modern hotels - including TV, fridge and even WiFi. Room rates start from 1600 to 3000 baht (around 38 to 71 EUR) per room and includes a breakfast for two. The breakfast consists of khao niew ping (grilled sticky rice), rice porridge, juice and coffee. The stuff is very friendly and doing its job well. Every Saturday afternoon there is a free boat trip to the nearby evening floating market in Amphawa.

One of the well run Homestay by local people in Thailand.
Not just stay at local home ,they also offered a cruise along the canal and river to see Traditional Thai Style Houses,Waterborne ways of life,Firefly Watching at Night,Monk Offering,local Floating Market,......

How to get there:
Take a bus from Southern bus terminal to Samut Songkhram or Mae Klong.Drop at Mae Klong bus terminal and then take blue bus No.415 (8 Bahts) and drop at Khokket Temple. Then take a motorcycle taxi (10 Bahts) to Kamnan Thawat's house.

Price : 700 Bahts/person for 2 days /1 night included meals and cruises.

Everythings 're the same as local.
