Nighttime by kyoub We enjoyed our stay at Dolphin Bay Resort very much. We came to stay three nights and didn't leave for a week and then only because it was time to come back to the states. It is in an ideal location for birdwatching. The park being 4-5 km. to the south, the freshwater marsh 15 km.to the north, and the long beach right there.
The owners of this resort are very friendly and helpful. There is a nice pool and a great swimming beach across the road. The sunrise is worth getting up early to see, coming up over the mountain. It is just a few miles to Khoa Sam Roi Yat National Park

Guesthouse by kyoub Hua Hins's dozen plus guesthouses are on a street one block from the beach. We stayed at the one at the end nearest the beach. It was called Seaview Guesthouse. We had a large livingroom, and a large bedroom, bath with shower, and a small balcony. It was very clean and good service.
Near the beach and shopping. They arranged a taxi and driver to pick us up at our hotel in Bangkok.

Lodge by kyoub Transportation was furnished from our Bangkok hotel in an air-conditioned minibus to the edge of Khao Yai National Park. Quiet and comfortable en-suite double rooms, at the Garden Lodge. Varieties of local flora and fauna and a tropical garden, where you can see over 200 different speciies of botanical and some rare hybrid orchids. There are always birds and butterflies flying through the garden.
They have organised tours that take you to different areas of the park everyday. Most last most of the day. The guides are very knowledgable and personable. The restaurant serves very good meals.

We stayed in Chaweng Regent Hotel a few years ago. That was our first trip to Thailand and it made us feel like living in a paradise!
Chaweng Regent Resort was a lovely 3star+-hotel and was affordable for us in 1996. Since then, it became a 4star hotel and the prices have gone up tremendously - unfortunately. Should you intent to stay there, take a "Deluxe" room. These rooms are situated at the second pool area and are nice and quiet (although a little small - but sufficiant!). We really enjoyed to have the pleasure of great garden views and pool views at the same time and only a few steps before we could enter the pool. Made us feel like this was our "private" pool. Moreover, most people swim at the main pool and that makes the second pool area very attractive! And it is large, too. The garden is absolutely beautiful. You feel like beeing in a jungle (with outside "jungle"-showers", something my husband favoured very much ;-) . Chaweng regent is/was situated at the south (?) far end of Chaweng beach (this might have changed by now as Chaweng surely has become bigger tremendously since then ... ?). What we though was ideal at the time, was the fact, that going out at the front entrance, we had busy Chaweng with shops and restaurants at our door steps - and going out the beach entrance, there was peace and calmness and it was ever so relaxing to walk on the beach looking for a nice restaurant! Food (we only had breakfast) was excellent, too. Buffet with anything you can think off. Live Entertainment in the evenings, either at the beach bar or at the entrance bar. by GenuinelyCurious Pai is a quiet town, and we had a cottage right along the river where it was easy to spend lots of time on the private balcony, just soaking up the beauty of the river. The room itself was all hardwoods and bamboo with a large mosquito net (much needed!) as a canopy. There was always a flower and the stone-lined shower had home made soaps. Friendly, helpful staff. Lovely experience.

Bangkok Marriott Resort & Spa is located on the west bank of the Chao Praya River. Accessible to the east side of the river via the Bangkok Bridge or the resort's ferry. Within its complex are fine shops and restaurants. We had a nice room with bath and a balcony with views of the pool and river.

Birdwatching by kyoub It was our anniversary when we stayed here. They gave us an upgrade to a suite. We got a fruit plate everyday and orchids. The service here was exceptional and the food was very good.
It was a short walk to the beach from our cottage. They had a nice pool area but the pool was not working when we were there. Our cottage had a side stairs where we could go up to the rooftop terrace to stargaze or have a cocktail on the roof.

by Sally_chen This hotel is in Phang Nga province, about 2 hour driving distance from Puhket. I found this place from internet , I havn't even made a hotel reservation! I only bring the hotel infm and made a phone call when we arrived at Phuket airport.Fortunately we got a good offer . We paid about USD20 to the taxi at airport and in 2 hours we arrived here!
This hotel is well maintained , right at seaside. The view is magnificant , sea/pool/garden/mounatin....they have everything I was expecting! May was low season, I only found 2 .3 people stay in the same resort with us, I got a nice bangalow facing swimming pool and sea. I like the shower in the room, feel don't want to come out! It was the best season for fruits, we rent car for 3 days and stopped at many places for beach/seafood /fruits , wonderful time! by Homanded Wonderful hotel, conviniently located right across the street from the Metro. ALOT of luxury without the cost of more expensive nearby hotels. Wonderful restaurants (some award winning) right on the property. Luxurious Lobby, wonderful door to room service. Friendly, knowledgeable staff.
You can walk across the street to the metro and be at any of Bangkoks major shopping malls such as BTK, etc. You can walk to the night market, the day market or several local shopping spots. Ideally located at Phayathai intersection on Si Ayuthaya Road, the Siam City is just two blocks north of Siam Square, Mah Boon Krong and Siam Discovery Center. Government offices and several businesses are located nearby on Paholyothin, Phayathai and Petchburi Roads. The airport expressway is just 15 min Theme: HotelPrice: US$40-80 » Currency ConverterComparison: less expensive than averageAddress: Siam City Hotel, Bangkok, Thailand.Phone: (66-2) 247-0123Directions: The following link provides you with a locator map of all of Bangkok http://www.bangkokbob.net/map/efg_121314.htmWebsite: http://www.siamhotels.com/Thailand_Bangkok_Hotels_SiamCity/Bangkok_Hotels_Siam_City_Hotel_Welcome.htm Other Contact: Fax: 66-2247 0178
