Smile Family: Smile Family
Smile Family is a hidden gem! A 2 minute walk from where the ferry drops you off, about a 10minute walk tops to Hat Rin beach. Its basically a tiny restaurant with 4 rooms upstairs which the family who run the restaurant let out(they sleep in a tent in the kitchen!). It costs just 100B(£1.50). All it is is a room, nothing else, admittedly it can get a little hot., but its compensated by being so cheap, in a nice quiet location. And the best bit if the family will cook for you anytime and let you laze around downstairs watching any DVD's you want. Great for chilling out. They have shared showers which are fine and you can sit on a balcony outside the room to chill out. Be warned, most accomodation in Hat Rin is booked up at the full moon parties!

A: "Thong Sala is the main town on Ko Phangan, there you can find all of the above. I think that is really the only place where you can find a Bank and ATM. The nice beaches..."
