Basketball equipment

by lrwray

Can anyone help with where I might buy a ready made baskelball and backboard and hoop on a gooseneck pole, suitable for outdoor use, for installation by a voluntary work party at an orphanage in Khon Khan.
Thanks
Richard

You talking about buying in Bnagkok?

Re: Basketball equipment

by lrwray

Would prefer to purchase in Khon Kaen if possible but contacts there are not having much success so I may be forced into purchase in Bangkok if it is possible to do the transaction via email/internet with guaranteed delivery to Khon Kaen by Monday 8 June. Thanks for your interest.
Regards
Richard

They must be for sale all over Bangkok cos I'm in the moving industry and I see them at many, many people's places. There is a big sports store near the Mall Bangkapi that should sell them.

Travel Tips for Khon Kaen

How to Tip

by arizonabarefootgirl

Here's a tipping tip. It's customary to tip for services in Thailand, but just a small amount is acceptable. In fact, tipping with the coins left over from the change is usually okay. For example, if you were paying for a meal with friends, and the total came to 450 baht, you give the waitress 460 baht in notes and she returns with 10 baht in change, that amount would be fine to leave as the tip.

Ubonrat Dam Golf Course

by chiabh

The par-72 course is of interesting and moderately chanllenging... The greens are fast and easy to read... Although the course look like a public course, it is well run and efficient... It is a walking course and one must be very fit to complete the 18-holes ~ especially sweltering heat of the Issan summer... The course is owned and run by the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailang (or EGAT)...

Sra Bua Kaew temple

by pattayaraj

I visitted this temple for museum where collected all local stuffs.Apart from museum, there's Ubosot or ordination hall (or Sim in Esan dialect) where built in 2474 B.E. in the reign of King Rama VII.It was built by the temple abbot and local craftmen. This sim renovated by the Architects Siam Association,The Netherlands Embassy and others Thai Goverments. The sim decorated with mural painting (or Huup Taem in Esan dialect) both outside and inside. The painting depicted about Sinsai local legend and Buddha 's life. All pictures have a description in local alphabets. At the entrance of Sim located the funny sculptures of man and woman & child, behind 're lion guardians.
To visit this temple, takes a blue songtaew(Pol - Nong Song Hong) from Muang Pol District Bus Terminal(22 THB).Via route no.207.Ask the driver for stop at Ban Wang Koon, then walk through the village on the west.Just go straight and the temple 'll be at the end of village.
