Castle Howchow Beach Resort Hotel: Khon Kaen's Bes: Castle Howchow Beach Resort Hotel

Not as described in other reviews written on here, a very disappointing experience
Food takes too long if they have what you order (up to two hours) and it’s an expensive place to stay compared with other good places is Thailand
A very nice pool but not always clean and saw very few people staying there
I could not recommend this place to stay at and would not stay there again

Grand Leo Hotel: Large rooms

This rather bland place is well located around the corner from a street known in Thai as Th Prachasumran but is also known as Disco Street as it features a few discos, clubs, bars and restaurants. When I arrived I had a choice of three rooms - the first didn't have a hot water shower, while the third was 480 baht. I decided to take the second which was very large with hot water shower, 2 single beds, ceramic floor tiles, TV, wardrobe, small desk, mirror. It cost 380 baht and was fine.

Saen Samran Hotel: Oldest Hotel according to LP

cheap. 150 to 200 baht per night with private bathroom. The hotel has aged well. It has a 1970's kind of feel. Only proper maintainance could bring out her glory.

The rooms are on the 2nd floor. The 2nd floor lobbey has some striking animal sculptures with big marble eyes! scary!

Europe Guesthouse: Friendly Europe in in Khon Kaen

Nice place at a good location. On walking distance of the lake. Very clean rooms. Nice atmosphere. Recommended !

The owners are European and that is hard to find in Khon Kaen. They understand your requirements and they are very helpful. They even brought me to the Laos Consulate to arrange my visa and they took me out to dinner with a whole bunch of people. Very much fun.
