Travel Tips for Loei
Loei Province
by YaaDong
"Chiang Khan"
Chiang Khanis a district in the northern part of Loei Province, northeastern Thailand. This place is definitely off the well-worn track. Not so long ago the area's claim to fame was mostly for smuggling, banditry and inter-border conflicts. Hardly a shadow of its recent history remains. Today it is growing into a popular travel destination on the Mekong River.
More coming soon....

Here comes towards the end of day 1. Do not ever be surprise to find the crowd here. It is indeed that the locals (at least local tourists) are getting more and more affluent. Every one was armed with DSLRs and digital cameras (with the latest models), tripods, and getting people to take all artistic shots.
Here's my share of photos - and i would believe it's a common photo that everyone would have, might have, or intend to take.
Sunsets are always beautiful and each sunset gives a different feeling - tinge of saddness, a feeling of something unaccomplished for the day. within the minute, the york dipped into the bottom of the cliff and it was time to return the bikes before it turned too dark to find the way back by bike.
Hint of advice: always carry a flashlight with you. There are completely no lights available except at the information centre and shops that may be opened.
For my friends and myself, we stayed in a run down bungalow (but with fairly clean bedsheets and mattress) and had lights on till 10pm. It is a good time to spend time together playing cards, share thoughts and sing a long. Great company.
