Poi Waterfall

by chennaismartguy

A sign at Km.61 (Phitsanulok - Lomsak Road) reads Suan Pa Khao Krayang, and introduces a 2 kilometre access road to Poi Waterfall, which is distingguished by a copious flow and profuse rocky outcroppings. Many species of flowering trees grace the area.

"* Phukradung Mountain *"

"Phukradung Mountain Top, Loei" is the dream destination of the young traveller as I am. Thai people know well that there's no other ways to climb up 1,288 metres M.S.L. except walking. I took almost four hours from where we parked to where we camped. It's like we're playing the game. We had to clear each stage, each level to get close to the boss. First from the foot hill then Pang Kok Ka, Sam Haek, Sam Bon, Sam Kok Kok, Sam Koh Sang, Pran Pran Pae, Sam Kok Wa, Sam Kok Pai, Sam Kok Done, Sam Krae and then the top of the mountain. From the foot hill to the top, we had to climb up, up and up. Then we had to walk, walk and walk till we reached the camp site. So much tired but it's worth trying.

"Chiang Khan District"

A small and lovely town located in Loei Province where have the Khong river as a border to Laos. This place 's always quiet and simple,so it's a very nice place for relax and let your mind flow with river. : ))
Old town area 're along the Khong river which you can see some old wooden shophouses and some 're in colonial style. An some old and important temples 're in this area such as Si Khun Muang temple ,Mahathat temple and Tha Khok temple. Walking on a small street on the bank of Khong river 's also a great things to do in the early moring or late afternoon.
