Sansabai House: One of the best in Korat

The place is quite popular with the locals so finding the place makes it easy for the visitors. Nice and helpful staff here, speaks english. We stayed in a nice twin a/c room w/ bath and everything is clean. Costs 500 baht a night.

Fah Thai Hotel: Has a certain prison feel but generally OK!

This hotel is located about 100m west of the Thao Suranari Memorial so it's handy for restaurants and bars. The corridors are more like balconies as they have a small opening between the floors which give it a feel of a prison than a hotel. In fact the room doors even open outwards! I had a choice of room - a single fan room with no hot water shower for 260 baht or a single a/c with hot water for 390 baht. I took the latter which was fine with newly placed tiles featuring penguins beside ice and igloos in the bathroom. My room had a small double bed, phone, large TV, chair, table, and mirror. They serve breakfast here as well.

The City Park: Right opposite The Mall

There're so many hotels in Korat City and The City Park is in the good location right opposite the biggest mall in the city "The Mall". It's also on Mitraphap Highway. This hotel is quite new, the room is nice, good service and breakfast is just fine. Travel to downtown is just 5-10 min, The Mall and Tesco Lotus are in walking distance.

ChaoPraya Hotel: Korat Hotel - at heart of town

ChaoPraya Hotel..after recent (2.years back or so) renovation to their rooms..wow...it seems like a upgrade from a 3 star to a 4 star! Definitely pleasant to stay there if you are visiting Korat - just beside Klang PLaza and also Ginza plaza and only 10- 15 minutes walk to the night Bazaar depending on how fast a walker you are. The rooms are sparkling clean and beds are such cosy, and toilets sparkling clean too. And the price? Man its worth the value at about 600 to 700 for a double(can't really remember the exact price).

Unique Quality: Besides the ground floor KTV with 24 Hour Cafeteria and opposite too a Cafeteria plus massage centre, its great! especially if its a rainly day and you don't want to go out. Oh ya the security guarding the hotel outside eas a nice chap who can speak chinese and English, ya of course thai.
