If you are in Luxury trip

Big hotel, good service, .... Its good if you are in luxury trip. I was just on my work trip so I had a chance to stay in this big hotel. I usually prefer to stay in small place. This hotel is like other five stars hotel, full facilities. At evenning I walked from hotel, wander around the area. The hotel seems not really in central of the town.

Delicious Breakfast Buffet

The breakfast buffet had Thai, European and American entrees. The Thai dishes were especially good and there were new selections each day. You may get fresh cooked omeletes. There were also very nice pastries and fresh fruit. The picture does not show one whole side of the buffet. Best of all, everything is included in the room rate. You will definitely say "ahloy mak mak."

The Laithong Hotel's dining room has a glassed-in patio that looks out on the garden in front of the hotel.

Nice Room and a Great Breakfast

Frommer's calls the Laithong Hotel the best address in town. You may book on-line. I got a rate of 1300 baht but it may have been a little high because it was right before Songkran. In fact, people were bringing their parents to breakfast there. It is the tradition to show respect to your parents at Thai New Years.

It is a hotel that many Thai businessmen use. The rooms are very clean and nicely furnished. The first night there was even a fruit plate and a small, aromatic flower on the pillow. The only downside was the front desk. It was well staffed but they always seemed busy doing other things besides helping guests. Maybe it was because they did not speak much English. They also would not cash American Express travelers' checks.

Unique Quality: The room rate includes one of the better breakfast buffets you will find anywhere. Eat it on the glassed-in patio and it doesn't get much better than that.
