walking distance to Night Bazar

10 min walk to night bazar, but wouldn't recomend this hotel. Staff were inhospitable and grumpy. Everything was a hassle to them. Rooms are quite old and run down.

Convenient Location

The hotel was convenient to everything, the staff were nice enough bar one (who I took to be a senior female staff member). The rooms were big and had a lovely view across the city. I probably would stay here again as it was handy for getting around. The breakfast had a lot of variation, the bar was very expensive so we didnt drink in it bar one bottle

Excellent Hotel in Chiang Mai

I would quote this hotel as a 4 star hotel right in the center of Chiang Mai. Rooms are spacious and bathrooms very good equiped. Nice and large swimming pool. Very good Business Center with wireless internet connection. Breakfast is a big choice of american, continental and even Thai and chinese style. Very good and friendly service at the reception as well at the bar in the lounch.

Unique Quality: One of the last built hotels in Chiang Mai, the tallest in town.I could recomment this hotel, which is even at more than the average roomrates in town, one of the best.After three weeks in this hotel, I could not make one single remark.Even when the save in my room was blocked by the internal memory, which can happen in any safe, the manager of Rydges and the responsable person of the reception, assisted personnaly, that an external expert ,in my presence, repaired the safe.

Good hotel in Chiang Mai

Rydges Chiang Mai is now called the Amora Tapae Hotel, a 3 star property that offers good value for money. Service is amiable and staff are efficient. Rooms are reasonable for the price and beds comfortable. Location is quite convenient.
Note this hotel is now known as the Amora Tapae Hotel Chiang Mai

Unique Quality: Value for money is the main benefit here especialy with their popular pay for 2 nights and stay for 3 nights deal.

Rydges Tapae Chiangmai Hotel

The hotel is situated just outside the city moat, less than 5 minutes walk from the Tapae Gates... and about 15 minutes walk to the Night Market...

Although we booked a superior room, we were upgraded to the Princess Suite as the hotel was fully booked... The suite was very spacious and the colour scheme pleasing with a cozy ambience... the lounge looks across to Doi Suthep pagoda on the hill and the view was fantastic...

Unique Quality: We did not have the time to check the other facilities, but the breakfast spread at the Chilli coffee house was fairly good with the food delicious..or aroi, as they say in thai....

We did make us of the travel desk to rent a car for our quick tour of the city tourist sites... and the service was good and efficient...
