We were very impressed with the pictures on the website, and booked an deluxe pool villa with them. Generally, the service was impeccable, as the Thais are very hospitable people. However, the pool villa really was more of a outdoor jacuzzi villa. But to be fair, the outdoor jacuzzi could take about 9 people in it comfortably, and was nice enough for the 3 of us to laze around and catch some sun. Being in a mountainous area, we found that we had to keep the electric zapper on all the time, in order to zap the little bugs, flies etc that kept coming into our room. The number of insects gave us a shock the first time we saw our room, but after a while, the zapper managed to take care of most of them, and it didn't really bother us anymore. Good thing is that the place is fairly remote (30 mins away from downtown), so you get a lot of privacy and it was hardly crowded when we were there. Bad thing is that the place is fairly remote, which means you need to arrange transportation to get into the city and back if you are looking for a night out or some dinner. The hotel can take care of that for you, but arrange beforehand. For the price we paid (USD 175), it's a nice break from staying in regular hotels, and still worked out economical as there were 3 of us.
