Quite courtyard by morganbear We stayed at this exquisite hotel, which I can only describe as luxury Thai in style. This is ideal for those that want to experience the boutique style hotels, rather than the massive impersonal hotels that luxury standards normally mean. I chose the hotel as it was in the centre of the old town and we were there for the Songkran, New Year Festivals. It proved to be ideally situated, for seeing the town, day trips up country and for a relaxing time. Despite being so central there was no traffic noise, so laying by the pool, surrounded by the beautiful gardens was great, after a long day. It wont suit the larger louts or people with 20 kids, but its great place to get away from them! The airconditioned rooms are mostly on one level, and open directly onto the central courtyard, see pic attached. The hotel taxi driver, Ken, deserves a special mention. He is exceptionally polite, professional and a careful driver and goes out of his way to look after you. If you can, book him for your duration of your stay, he’ll take you anywhere. Another special mention is the Kao Hom Cooking School. An absolute paradise of a place. This is like cooking in heaven. Forget the rest, this is the best, as I checked out most of the cooking schools in Chiang Mai, and have also been to several others around the world, none compare to this one. www.kaohom.com. They will pick up up and drop you back to the hotel.
This is a small boutique luxury hotel, centrally located and very nicely appointed.
