British run with very good, clean rooms
This is a newly constructed guest house run by a British guy and his Thai wife, located inside the moat in the north-east of the city walls. It's all very clean where you have to take your shoes off outside and the walls are covered with pictures of both Queen Elizabeth II and the Thai king plus other British elements. My room, which had a front balcony was lovely, modern and smelt new with a double bed, TV, fridge, a/c, desk, 2 bedside tables and a lovely clean bathroom with an electric hot water shower. Basically the British guy knows what Europeans want. They have a good selection of European and Thai food in the menu which is accompanied by 60s/70s music. Rooms are priced between 600-750 baht but I got a good deal as I got mine for 500 baht. Great place.
