This town is very bibbly bobbly and full of alternative magic healing stuff. It therefore attracts that crowd. Coming out of the bus station the further east and south you go the quieter and less bibbly bobbly the town is.
it is however a nice place to hang out. Many very nice bungalows by the river. Left out of the bus station then lefy at the turning pass the wat (100 m max)
Chicken farm

Thai people keep the chickens under a bamboo basket.
The chickens can eat everything that lies beneath them, the basket gives shadow allows air to pass.
Nice environmental friendly way to keep poultry.

Well, not only the Coffee in Love shop where is cute in Pai village, but there are so many cute shops in Pai. You have to go there, and look around. I sure that you will like this place - cute, and peace.
If you would like to visit, I recomment to be during November - February. It is cold, but great! Love it!

Don't know how to explain the beautiful of this waterfall. All I can say that I love it!
"Pang-ung"
I'm not sure what should to call this place, lake or dam? Whatever!
well, it takes about 3 hours from Pai village to get there. Yeah, Far, but WORTH! You will see fog above the water. There is nothing much there, but I like the weather there. So.....natural. ^_^
Pai

"High apple Pai in the sky...."
Pai is a small little town nestled in the hills of Northern Thailand. It's a complete 180 from the popular beaches and resorts in the south. Pai is probably the most laid back and relaxing place on Earth. Time doesn't exist here, only hammoks and elephants do. Lazy mornings turn into lazy afternoons which turn into nights of people simply gathering together, sharing food, music, and great stories. If you sign up for a trek in Chang Mai, there is a good chance that they will be taking to somewhere in this region, but if you're the independant kind of traveler, you will find that you can do most of it yourself on day trips using pai as a base, that is if you are actually strong enough to wake up from the constant daydream that is Pai.
