Fantastic Old Sukhothai Guest House

The MV is located about 4 km west of the center of the park. That is, in fact, its greatest appeal. It's a simple, clean and affordable place to stay, but the main attractions are the location; secluded, quiet, and beautiful, and the owners, who'll spoil you with the most important ingredient to a good stay - information, about everything. Rooms are comfy with fan or AC, and no more expensive than 750 baht. Malcolm rents bikes, motos, and even if truck on occasion. He also operates a restaurant opposite the museum in the old city. On the lighter side, the pool is amazingly refreshing at about 400 pm. Although you need your own transportation, this is a great place be stay while you see the park, the surroundings, and avoid the new city at the same time. I stayed for the week of Loi Kratong, and couldn't be happier.

Q: How to get from Sukhothai to Ayuthaya? "Hi! Need to get to Ayuthaya from Sukhothai. If it possible to get there on bus, or the only way is the train from Phitsanulok?..."

A: "No idea of timings but there is a bus service between the two cities. Once there ask for directions to the bus station, or ask your hotel to check for you."
