Great hotel - just don't look too closely at the maintenance. The rooms are big, airy and clean but overall the place is run-down and poorly maintained - but hey you're only going to sleep there - you'll spend all your daylight hours discovering the wonders of the Sukothai Historical park. Breakfast in the hotel is good (if not quite as varied as in your Bangkok hotel) but for dinner go across the road to any one of the little local restaurants.
This is the closest hotel to the Sukothai Historical park - take a local bus from right out front straight to the park's main entrance and hire a bicycle (30B for the day).
