Classy hotel in downtown Hatyai
Novotel Centara is located in the heart of downtown Hatyai. It is on the same building as Central Department Store. The reception lobby is not on the street level. You have to take the elevator up to level 6 to check-in.
All department stores, restaurants and cinemas are within walking distance. There is live band performing at the lobby lounge in the evening. It's just nice to sit at the lobby lounge and listening to the music.
Unique Quality: Great location! Situated literally in the heart of Hatyai downtown.

Novotel
This is a very nice hotel and, being high above the streets, is isolated from the noise below. It's not cheap though, relatively speaking.
Published rates are:
Superior - 3,200 (Twin 3,400)
Deluxe - 4,500 (Twin 4,900)
Deluxe Suite - 5,500
Executive Suite - 7,000
Royal Suite - 15,000
I was quoted 3,000 Baht on the day I asked (which happened to be a Saturday) and 2,500 Baht for other days.

The best hotel in town
A city centre location. It occupies upper floors of building. Central Department Store is located lower floors.
