The place is neat and clean. A plus point.
I will be in Hat Yai for a few days and was planing to stay a night in Koh Lipe , can anyone tell me how can I go from Hatyai and where can I stay in Koh LIpe .
What can I do in Koh Lipe -other then the beach ?
From Had Yai you buy a ticket to Koh Lipe (about 600 Baht) and it includes minibust to Pak Bara Pier and boat to kok Lipeh (50 baht extra to sand). I stayed at Dayan resort 92 wks ago) (bungalows,no hot water) but you have a choice.
Visit nearby islands, snorkelling, and to do absolutely nothing is why we go there!

Here you have a lot of accommondations with rates.
Now it´s high season why many of them may be full but check when you arrive to Lipe and you´ll always find something.
There are two daily speedboat transfers from Pakbara Pier to Lipe, 11.30 and 13.30. The minbus to the pier take about 2 hours.
If you contact a travelshop in Hat Yai they will organize the trip all the way for you.

Koh Lipe is now full of greedy bodies misconceiving tourists as ATM's.
The tourist Information Office is located on Niphat Uthit 3 Road behind the police station. The staffs are very helpful. They have information brochures (Thai language) for almost every provinces in Thailand. Unfortunately, they only have selected the information brochures in English. But overall, very helpful and knowledgable staffs.
The ubiquitous Tuk Tuk, seen everywhere in Thailand with Hat Yai being no exception. The Hat Yai ones have 4 wheels and a steering wheel as opposed to the ones with 3 wheels and motorbike-style handlebars seen in some other places.
The 18-hole par 72 course features plenty of water and lakes... Many of the holes have been carved out of the oil palm plantation, thus using the existing natural splendor to enchance the experience of playing golf against a stunning mountainous backdrop...
Opened in 1993, the course is nevertheless rather flat but it is still challenging where water come into play in 17 out of the 18 holes over 6,910 yds from the black tee...
There are a lot of stall opening at night near Pink Lady and Hatyai Shopping Complex. Get the lamps, they are unique and very cheap. Just be sure to bargain hard and get a switch converter at Hatyai Department Store. There are also coin bag selling 6 pcs for 100baht. I bought them at the earlier stalls and manage to get 4 pcs at 100 baht.
Again, the concept of this place is similar to High Society but the price of the drinks here is much cheaper. We brought our own whisky and the cockage charge was only 200 BHT. Had a really good time watching the singing and dancing show. A very good family spot as well.. Anything goes
