the lanta pavilion resort has a lovely little seating area, where the local family makes yummy thai foods. i had a banana pancake for breakfast, with honey. it was divine! it was also so ridiculously cheap!

Great place
I've seen some of the older reviews, but if they are acurate, then the place has improved immensely. The garden is exceptionally beautiful and the rooms were clean. The restaurant was amazing, with first rate seafood, Thai, European, Indian and Mexican food. I had a great time here. The service was not great, but this is Thailand. The staff were friendly and willing to help, but there were some misunderstandings. If you are patient and careful, these can be avoided. I thought this place was a great value. The beach is beautiful. It's rocky at low tide, which makes for beautiful views, especially at sunset, and when the tide comes in, it's fine for swimming. All in all, an excellent value.
Unique Quality: The pool is set in the midst of a lush, beautifully landscaped garden with lots of colorful flowers, and there is a sea view from the pool. Very relaxing. The restaurant is wonderful -- a truely talented chef. The internet is fast and you can look up from your web surfing to sea the ocean and garden. Great! There are all kinds of plants and flowers throughout the resort. Opposite the sea there is a great view of rainforest covered hills.

Along the beach...
We did not stay here but instead we came here for a day to visit Anna, Leah, Phil and Wiss. We had a bit to eat and drink here while chatting the afternoon away...

Long Beach Unlike Long Beach in Phi Phi
The room and the servoce are good. Very friendly staffs. Nice food but a bit expensive.They have their own internet shop and a bar next to it.
Unique Quality: The beach is not really good for a swim.
