Haad Than Sadet

This beach is only quite small in length but with the steep hills climbing out of the water on each side it is probably the most beautiful.
There are bungalo's all the way up one side which would have the most fantastic views , I'm sure.
We only stayed here for a couple of drinks and a swim because we wanted to push on to Thong Nai Pan for the afternoon. If I ever wanted to go somewhere for a quiet romantic type of holiday then this would be my choice for sure.
This is possibly the most beautiful and quiet little place in all of Koh Phangan.
The water is quite deep here in some places, and it is very refreshing to swim in here.
Pack light... can't stress it enough

backpack works well here flip flops and a pair of tennis shoes if you plan to do any hiking girls, tampons.. they are hard to find here
repellant is easy to find here digital cameras, bring in any supplies for a digital that you may need, I had trouble finding a memory card for my camera in Bangkok, so I assume they will be almost impossible to find on Ko Phangan you can buy a cheap sarong on the island for laying out on the beach. I liked this better than a towel because big beach towels are so bulky bring things to keep you occupied if you are planning to relax here for a while, walkman, crossword puzzles, book. I found these things very handy.
This snake was in my bed.
by Steve-H
This is a tree snake that i found in my bed one morning. I managed to shoo it away and it went up the balcony onto the roof. Enter my mate Andy who wanted to pose below it to show how long it was, as the camera went off the snake fell off the roof and Andy nearly filled his pants...a golden moment and i still don't know if they are poisonous (the snakes not Andy's pants)
You really need to rent a small motorbike
by austarman
If you want to see Koh Phangan properly, I believe that you really do need to rent a motorbike.
That way you can take your time as we did and find all the out of the way little bays, waterfalls and beaches that you might not otherwise find.
Many of the bungalo's and resorts will rent you one but there are many places in the towns and villages where you can rent one.
You would expect to pay about 150 Baht per day so it's not much and they are quite small slow and easy enough for anyone to ride.
Hang out in your bungalow restaurant...

The food here is pretty much as good as anywhere else. We ate here a lot because
#1 They appreciate it when you eat at their
restaurant
#2 The food was pretty darn good
#3 They were soooo nice, Tee (bungalow
operator) came and sat with us a few
times. I liked everything I ate here
