Morning Star Resort

We hadn't booked when we arrived in Koh Phangan and wandered along the beach to find something. Some were pretty grotty (Mac Bay - unclean and I mean unclean!) but nearby we came across Morning Star - perfect.

The place was very quiet (always is outside of full moon parties) and is a great location. Short taxi ride to Haad Rin for the night life and peaceful and tranquil with a private beach when you want it. Beautiful location, lovely rooms (the nicest we came across) and very very clean.

Staff were very nice, gave you privacy as well as being available when you needed them. A lovely little cat hangs around too (if you want her to) who I formally named "Shade" after getting her sorted at the only vet on the island :)

This is a mid-range resort (and only 3 years old) but they are willing to negotiate outwith peak times and gave us a great deal (800bht a night). Food was also good and cheap (like everywhere in Thailand!)

Highly recommended.
