We are planning to spend 1 night at Koh Phi Phi on our way from Krabi to Phuket, and need advice on where to stay? We are looking for a nice hotel close to one of the beaches, preferably a beach where it's nice to go snorkeling. It would also be great if the hotel is not a long walk from where the ferries to/from Krabi/Phuket leaves from.
The hotels on Phi Phi island are all right on or very close to the beach. Go onto the website for the osland,and pick one that suites your pocket. You can hire a long boat cheaply to take you snorkelling close by.

No matter where you stay you must do the island hopping day tour. You will cruise around the two main islands. Phi Phi Don, the largest, with scenic bays, lush coconut groves and a variety of accommodations; and the smaller and uninhabited Phi Phi Ley, considered more spectacular than its “big sister” with even more picturesque coves, better snorkeling and diving, caves, and lagoons.
I've spent half day here taking photos and strolling around Tong Sai Bay. Due to heavy sea traffic, tons of tourist ferries visiting every day, the water seems to be a bit polluted. My father and brother had got chance to experience discovery dive. Unfortunately, me as a certified PADI diver now, gotta stay on boat due to serious stomach muscle pain. I wish to return there again one day.
Tsunami Memorial Garden is right next to the Tia and Millie Sunflower Bar; a beautiful place for quiet contemplation and paying one's respects to the victims of the December 26th 2004 tragedy.
There are many photo's poems and memorial plaques here as a memorial to the victims.
About 1300 people lost thier lives on these islands.
The garden is located at the far end of Dalum beach next to the Sunflower bar.
Sometimes me and "Beck" have talk about music, he have ask me about what type of music that i like, well.. i always love dance and house music and that when i go for clubing, for relaxing or i often listen is metal, alternative, pop and hip hop.. that is my favourite, and his favourite is alternative and house.
He have one favourite songs, but he never know what it means but he likes the songs that much... he let me listen to his favourite songs, it also my favourite songs... its from 3 doors down, here without you... he tells me what his understand from the songs... but his understand wrong from it, so i explain to him what it means... then he became silent and look sharp at one point and he just silent, it is related to the one he love and the one that he think of most of the time. To what i had in mind, he might think that he like the songs because its related to what he have been throught.
So many options to enjoy the Island and the surrounding area.
You can join groups on boats who sails to a diving areas or to snorkle.
You can take a boat just to enjoy the amazing views.
Anything you like is possible.
