We booked this wonderful resort with the aim of being able to step out of our beach bungalo straight onto the sand. We arrived to be greeted by the staff lined up either side of the pathway to the foyer where we were treated to a cool coconut cocktail and face wipe. Registration was carried out without us even realising it. At this time we were advised that being off season the facility was taking the opportunity to carry out much needed maintenance and as such our Beach front Bungalo was not available and as such we had been "upgraded" Our initial dissapointment at not being Actual beach front was soon overcome when we were shown our Villa unit overlooking the Anderman Sea, the Resort pool and our own private pool. We were provided extra special treatment with 24/7 addendance by our own beautiful consierge, who attended to our every need. The golf buggy rides up and down the hill to the resort and the restaurants were very welcome and Prompt!
The restaurants in the resort were well priced and casual with live music on hand each night. The Thai restaurant is wonderful as were the meals and ambience. A little more formal that the other restaurants in the resport, it made our final night something very special.
Unique Quality: Laid back Luxury. All you need to relax and enjoy the tropical feel. Staff were very welcoming and warm.
Wonderful bungalow on the north island. Splendid garden really quiet. Some tour come to eat on the good restaurant
Unique Quality: Nice beach, really nice bungalow
Beautiful hotel. Excellent service. Great staff (very helpful), and a wonderful swimming pool with those 'horizon' views.
We stayed at the beachfront villa, which was nice, but it should've been a bit bigger for the price they were charging. They have pool villas as well, and they seem to be a lot cooler and i probably will try to stay in a villa in my next trip.
I recommend for anyone looking for a little romance (travelling with couple) or even friends who are looking to get aways. But if you're a group of guys or gals looking to party and meet many people, this is not for you.
Unique Quality: The restaurants are very tasty, but the food is very expensive. They didn't have any 'food options' in price levels, at dinner only the Marlin restaurant is open (serving expensive food) or the high class Thai restaurant (serving very expensive food).
The beach if far from Phi Phi's main beaches so you're kind of secluded for food options. This is the only reason I give this place 4 stars instead of 5. Even top notch hotels like Le Meridien and Marriot can give better/cheaper food deals.
The best part though is that when you reach they have this tractor thing to pick you up. It was fantastic!
A perfect island retreat: laid-back enough to encourage complete relaxation yet a variety of activities are available for when you need to satiate the more energetic side of you. The attractive, Thai-styled cottages, tucked under the coconut trees behind the beachline, are arranged in rows with the pricier and larger in the front overlooking the resort’s private cream sand beach, azure Andaman Sea, technicolor sunsets and sunrises. Scenes like this—a comfy sunbed, a view of the sea, the sounds of the waves and birds, and a little sunshine—are all I need to be happy. ...Could be even better with a wonderful partner. ;)
The entire staff is well trained: boatmen, waitstaff, housekeeping, spa, reception, and dive center. You feel welcome and pampered. The restaurants offer a good selection of international cuisines; the Thai, with dishes from different regions, were my favorites.
***request a beachfront room, costs more but its worth it
One of the best resort in Phi Phi Island. It's highly recommended by a pair of couple who have spent their honeymoon here.

Phi-Phi island is part of a national park, so accommodations are strictly controlled. Guesthouses and hotels are located around a beautiful curve of beach, with some bungalows situated in remote spots further from the main visitors area.
We made our reservation through e-mail. They offer a great client service!!! When my husband booked, the clerk realised that we would't have the time to take the ferry to get to the airport on time, so he mentioned it to my husband who changed it. Very nice of them!!!
It was basically furnished, but clean. good breakfast. We got a bungalow on the beach, with sea view. Also, all equipment for watersport (snorkel and all) were free!!!
I only found out the place, after I have book a night at Gipsy Village. I stay here for 2 night, it was cheap the opening price is 800batt, I manage to as for a discount for 750batt.
The owner name is KAI, she a Thai from Bangkok. Nice lady.
The room is big, clean, safety box, hot water, TV, AC and with WC. Most value for money. The guest house is at the heart of the town, which is good, because you need to walk in Phi Phi Island. It is wise to stay at the heart of the town, where you can almost get everything by walking.
Staying in a happening area..... :)
Phi Phi Natural Resort is located at Phi Phi Islands and it consists in a series of neat cottages/bungalows, lined up along the sea shore.
The lush tropical setting, quality of service and AMAZING food ( I have a thing for thai food :) ) makes your stay there worthy. If you stay in a bungalow on the shore (Deluxe Cottage) the sea view is amazing!!

Phi Phi Island Village Resort is requiring a four night minimum during high peak season after Jan 1 08. This isn't an issue, but I want to make sure this is the right place to stay if I'm going to be here this long. Anyone stayed there? Would this be the right spot for a couple wanting some quiet time? If not, where could we find that?
Thanks in advance.
i think its ideal for a couple wanting some quite time.. not sure what it looks like now i was there in 2005 and it was still in a mess..
Great hotel, I would like to stay there last january but I couldnt it was full.
OK ... if anyone else has anything to add, I'd appreciate it. They require a hefty deposit and I want to make sure this is a good place. Anyone been there recently?
You have probably already seen these... but....
