Nice for a short while
To many this hotel is the apitomy of paradise but it must be said that Phi Phi island is not what it used to be and the centre of the island is despratley over crowded. The film the beach has made this place very popular and the view of the surrounding islands is idillic.
The Princess has one of the best beaches on the island and a superb swimming pool. The restaurant isn't bad either. The rooms are cottages really and you need to watch out for special offers as you can sometimes get a detatched cottage for 1500 bt a night. Good value as it includes a good breakfast too. The place has a diving operator and the hotel offers all sorts of water sport actiivties and snorkelling trips. For me Phi Phi was a bit boring and I felt a bit clostraphobic at times because there aren't a lot of places to go and hide away from the other tourists.

The Bungalow
There´s a labyrinth-like sandy path going around and bungalows pop up between palmtrees. It´s quiet and tidy. The resort is next to the beach.

POOL WITH THE BEST VIEW
Unique Quality: PP Princess Resort has a very nice pool with a beautiful view to the Loh Dalum Bay.

PERFECT SERVICE
Charming, well-equipped bungalows quite on the beach, very helpful and friendly staff, peaceful, still near everything.

Is phi phi too crowded??
i'm going to phi phi with my family at the beginning of April, and i was wondering if it is going to be seriously overcrowded.
We were planning on staying in the phi phi princess resort - is it on a good beach?

phi phi is very small and therefor get's crowded very easy.
i guess april is low season though.
it's a very beautiful island and if you can accept that it's very touristy you will have a great holiday.
Phi phi is not such a good place in April
Hey !
I think in April Phi Phi is in low season. during in summer I recommend U to go to The Eastcoast (Thai Bay) Like Koh Tao, Koh Mun nork there are in High season in summer time

I’m not sure about the crowding but the Phi Phi princess Beach does get quite busy and its hard for swimming as its very shallow, come low tide there isn’t any water for ages! You are better off going around to Long Beach, you can wither walk there or catch a water taxi for about 40b each way, the snorkelling there is great.
