Nice relaxing place for two for more~
I have to say it's really nice place for my first trip with my newly boy friend. He found the discount price from some travel website. I didn't expect too much after flying 12 hrs from shanghai. but when i arrived there, I was emazing how beautiful the place was and how nice the beach was under the moon light.
The room was clean, decorated well with small deck outdoor for smoking. not roomy enough for what we were paying thou. since we were paying 200USD per night, thinking it would like an villa or something nicer.
The service is wonderful there. I spend at least 1/2 hrs to find out all information I need with this nice lady Taniya who works for customer service in the hotel. She is not only give me the information of the good restaruant and spa and contact for me, but also teach me how to save a little money by taking local cab (Red bus like, but take you to anyplace you ask for). Thank you Taniya~
There are great facilities and own private beach. nice restaruants inside the resort and there are an high end spa as well for relaxing.
It's really romanic place for any lovers or family gathering for relaxing and refreshing.
Unique Quality: There are very nice outdoor facilities and service for someone who just want to hang out at the hotel and close by the beach. I was doing sun tan whole day long right at the hotel own private beach. If you don't want to have local sellers around, you can lay next by the outdoor swiming poor with bar and lounge close by.
The hotel guy will set up the chair with towel and bring drinks whenever you ask next to this beautiful ocean. Isn't it nice?!
I feel like an queen during my 4 days trip in Ko Samui. Thanks to Armani palm reef resort.

Amari Palm Reef Resort
At the time of booking we didn't know anything about the hotel and just went for a lucky shot.
Upon arriving we realized that we made a good choice. Very friendly staff, nice rooms, etc.
Unique Quality: Very good location at the northern end of Chaweng. Ideal to walk down the whole stretch either along the beach or along the mainroad (i.e. shopping). Breakfast buffet was great too.

Palm beach at its best !
Positioned at the secluded end of Samui's Chaweng-beach, the Amari Palm Reef Resort combines high standards of comfort and service with an informal resort atmosphere.
There are many very nice thai-style cottages and buildings in a wonderful tropical park with ample space and generous pools between the bungalows
The only major flaw is one of the Samui-beach mainstreets, dividing the resort into two parts: function-rooms, reception, restaurant and coffeeshop as well as the beach being on one side, the bungalows and pools on the other.
Nevertheless, the rooms and amenities are very convenient, the restaurant and food very good and the service friendly and competent.
Unique Quality: Very nice cottages, tropical setting, convenient pools, big rooms, good food and service !

Nice hotel
The hardware was OK, our room has all the stuff one would expect from a resort room. However, when you look at the details, you can always find something that shouldn't happen in a resort like this for this price. For example, the flush button of the toilet doesn't work very well; there was no garbage bin inside the bathroom; towels were clean but not snow white. The sliding door at the balcony wasn't working very well. The finishings inside the room were actually perfunct.
Also, services still have room to improve. It's not bad overall but certainly doesn't worth that much. For example, it took them quite some time to find our bookings and confirm our identities to complete the check-in process and it appeared they didn't know the procedures. I'm sure the staff know, it just that they don't look that professional. What's funny was that the staff had a habbit of passing their work-on-hand to someone else. Not a very efficient way to work, I believe!
In general, everyone was polite and tried to be helpful though.
It was equally confusing when checking out. The front desk left a copy of charges at our door one day before we check out to remind us the outstanding charges. To our surprise, we were charged for a local phone call made on the day we check in. Obviously, we had made no such call. Although it was not a big deal and the front desk immediately fixed the bill when we check out, we still thought that it shouldn't happen in the first place.
It was nice to lie next to the swimming pool, to read books, to watch kids play or to do nothing.
The buffet breakfast was excellent. Western, Chinese, and Japanese food all lie on the tables for you to pick. Again, the waitresses could do better with more training.
One thing really unpleasant was that my girlfriend found 7 insect bites on her back one day when we woke up. Although it can't be totally avoided in a place full of plants and stuff, it certainly left a bit of bad impression for my girlfriend. :(
Unique Quality: Huge room and bed.
Too many pillows and cushions inside the room.
Excellent Italian restaurant.
Nice swimming pools.
Free DVD rental.

Service with a smile in Samui
Stayed for 12 nights in September 2005. Very friendly reception staff and the deluxe rooms were very clean and spacious. Decor looked brand new! The service in this hotel was the best we have ever received. Every staff member from gardeners to room maids to management had a smile and hello for you. The breakfast buffet was excellent. Very fresh with lots of choices. We tried two of the restaurants within the hotel. Beautiful meals at reasonable prices. The stand out has to Prego's Italian. The most delicious meal and atmosphere. Our table of four enjoyed every scrumptious mouthful over four and a half hours!!
The swimming pools are nice. The beach side one was more family orientated and a lot noisier than the one across the road. Always plenty of umbrellas and nice fluffy towels. Pool service (food and drinks) not as frequent as we would have liked.
The only other downside with this hotel is that the beach at the front of the resort is not very nice for swimming. Quite reefy and a bit of seaweed.
Overall we found the Amari to be more than we expected and will definitely be staying again.

Best Vacation Ever
Wow. Did not expect this. Everything about the resort was suberb, definitely 5* quality. The layout, the service, the food, the pool - wow. The buffet and restaurants were unbelievable. Everything from poached eggs to sushi for breakfast! It catered to american, french, german, japanese, and thai tastes. The hotel is split into two segments. The beach side, which has the main facilities and across the road is the other half. Don't be put off this, it is nice on both sides. However, the road side tended to cater to families more due to the types of rooms there. We especially liked it there in the evenings with the twinkle-light lit palm trees, sea facing loung chairs, outdoor bar, and even beds to lay on! Gorgeous.
Unique Quality: What a hotel...........

Amari Palm Reef Resort Samui
back a few weeks from tropical paradise better known as the amari palm reef. where to start thats just as hard as being back home. my wife and i were on our second visit back to samui this time we brought our 2 children with us we had a few concerns before we left but as we were greeted at the amari those concerns immediatly dissapeared. from the management right down to the pool boys they could not do enough for us. we stayed in a family duplex which was right by the pool there was ample room for the 4 of us. we were right in heart of things as the shops and bars were only a stones throw away yet it was very peaceful. everything you could possibly want from a needle to an anchor was available at the amari. the food was second to none and having children with you who can be fussy eaters can sometimes be a problem was no problem at all. there is such a wide choice to suit every pallet from traditional thai to italian. we had a fab 14 days and nights at the amari palm reef and i would strongly advise anyone thinking about going to samui with children to make the amari there choice of hotel i dont think you would be making a mistake. i know we will be back next year (we've already been to all their properties in Thailand! )...

Semi-Affordable Luxury & Great Service
The Amari Palm Reef Resort is situated at the northern end of Chaweng, Koh Samui's most popular beach, only 12 km from Samui airport. Being at the 'end' of the beach road, it's quiter and more relaxing. But don't worry, you're not far from all the action: it's only a 10 minute walk until you reach some of the first cafes, bars and shops of Chaweng.
It occupies both sides of the beach road, with chalets on the beachfront and bungalows & regular rooms on the opposite side called "Thai Village". Each side has a pool and fabulous lush tropical gardens. The decor throughout the resort can be described as crisp-clean, modern & stylish fused with Thai influences... to make a long story short - stunning!
Prices are expensive in Samui standards, but competitive & very reasonable by the standard's of Western visitors.
TIP: Visit their website and take a virtual tour of the resort, as well as taking advantage of their great discounts when booking over the internet!
Unique Quality: From balconied suites to family duplexes, the Amari Palm Reef Resort has accommodation to suit every taste.
Some of the resort's facilities include:
- 2 free-form Swimming Pools
- Children's Pool
- Jacuzzi
- Water Sports (available nearby)
- Padi Dive Center
- Sivara Spa
Restaurants:
Merante Seaside Dining - modern decor, great views overlooking the gardens & beach beyond, this restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and a-la-carte dinner. Every weekday is a different theme-night, such as Lobster Night, Pasta Night, etc.
Bar@c - located by the pool & exactly beneath the Merante, it's a great place to relax and watch the world go by as the sun goes down. TIP: Their cocktails are awsome!
PREGO - One of the coolest & most stylish Italian restaurants on the island, with an extensive menu and pizzas from a wood-fired oven.
