Really relaxing place ,right on chaweng beach,Paradise
Unique Quality: small but adequate pool not needed as you are situated right on the beach and the sea is hot anyway

Samui hotel
Hotel Resort with two swimming pools and restaurant right on south side of Chaweng beach. Stayed in a private chalet with king size bed, cable tv, bathroom/shower and in room safe. 1500bht a night during low season. Ideal for couples or anyone really. 2 pools and in-room safe.

"Going Home"
Silkair to Koh Samui and the view from the plan was wonderful. Too bad i'm not a 'camera' person so just took some shots here and there. Spent 3 days 2 nights there and I think it's more than enough. The beach is much better compared to Phuket. Stayed at Chaweng Resort and were treated like queen and princess.. hee. Thais are friendly people and it's always a pleasure to stay in Thailand no matter where you are.
"Jungle Trekking"
Naomi wanted to go elephant riding so we got ourselves a 5 hours jungle trekking package. Was real tough trying to trek with just our slippers!! Luckily we had a wonderful tour guide.
"Samui Waterfall"
We managed to climb all the way up to the waterfall, was totally worth it. Everyone was like jumping into the water but we just sat at a corner and enjoy the scenery

Chaweng resort
Hi All,
3 girlfriends and myself are going to be in Koh Samui from about the 3rd January till about the 8th January. Is it worth doing shopping there or just wait till Bangkok?
Also as none of us have been there before we were wondering what are the best clubs/pubs to go to.
One more thing, we are staying at the Chaweng resort? Whats it like? Is it nice?

It's me again, as I just come back from samui for the third time I get to know this island better. Unfortunatelly, Chaweng Regent I also never stayed but it looks ok..don't worry. Mm Samui is a shopping paradise almost as good as bangkok. I can recommend you to have dinner at: Starfish and Coffee at Bophut Beach. You have to go by taxi which cost you around 50 baht a person but believe me it's worth it. Very nice setting right at the beach. samui is great but noisy haha...

I have been to Samui 3 times in the last 17 mnths & stayed at Chaweng Resort each time & recommend it.
The facilities are good the location is excellant,quiet yet only a 15 min walk or a 5 min songtaew(taxi-ute) ride away from the main hub of Chaweng
The Green Mango & the sois(streets,lanes) around it form the most popular entertainment area of Chaweng,also The Reggae bar across Chaweng lake is also a good nite out.
I recommend you try The Little Boat Seafood restaurant opp Chaweng Resort very good food & well priced.You might like to check my Samui page, might be something there of use to you.

I am making my first trip to Thailand in a couple of weeks so I can't say from firsthand experience what's happening down there but my good friend moved over there about four months ago to manage a resort and he should have a pretty good handle on things to do, places to see, etc...
