baan chaweng beach resort and spa

by gabbyc about best value in samui!

we recently spent 11 days at this resort and it was fantastic! The price was excellent the staff were unbelievably good, the restaurant was great and very reasonable. The pool area was good too and the sunbeds were right on beach. It was in a great position and the nice end of the beach! The rooms were big and very clean, the bathoom was also large and very clean overall was excellent value for money. We will definitly stay again next year!
Would highly recomend this resort to everyone! gardens were beautiful, nicely lite up at night. Perfectly positioned if you want to go out at nite, great restaurants at your door step and bars. But it was very quite also.

On Koh Samui, the Baan Chaweng Resort on Chaweng beach is clean, spacious and beautiful.
Around 800-1000 baht; which is around 20-30 US dollars Spacious clean room, nice restaurant right on the beach, laundry services and transport services provided by hotel.

Baan Chaweng Beach Resort

I would be grateful for some feedback from anyone who has stayed in a superior bungalow at the Bann Chaweng Beach Resort.

HI
I have stayed there 3 times and LOVED IT - highly recommended it ive had my brother stay there and also a bunch of other friends . Its the only resort we would stay in Samui now..the staff are fantastic the price is great for what you get. Breakfast is awesome. The pool is good and of course the beach is at your doorstep!!!Its rigth in the center of the action, but its not noisy!!

One thing i will say tho...there is not much diff from the BUILDING rooms to the bungalow...we stayed in the bungalow the first time but the other times we have booked the building room same size and stuff and heaps cheaper!

BOOK it you wont be dissapointed!!

Best bungalow resort on Lamai, Chaweng Noi or Southern Chaweng?

by templem

Hi,
We're looking for a family friendly bungalow resort with a pool on one the beaches above in January. So far, Fair House is booked, and Coral Bay Resort hasn't gotten back to us yet. Any knowledge of First Bungalows? Other ideas?
thanks,
Temple

hello whilst i was in samui visiting chaweng beach i remember a nice resort called baan chaweng beach resort and spa which was a family resort with a lovely pool overlooking the beach, also the restaurnt was also overlooking the beach also.i remember the food and service here to be very good, although i might add that i never actually stayed there.i used to stay at the coral cove resort and the thong ta kian resort which was between chaweng and lamai and ride down to the baan chaweng beach resort in the daytimes and leave there once it got dark. www.baanchawengbeachresort.com

Hi,
You will have a wonderful time in Samui. I lived in Suratthani for a very long time & Samui became like a 2nd home. I enjoyed staying there. When I first went to Thailand it was the 1st place I stayed, I have since took my father there & he loved it. The staff were very kind & caring & took really good care of my father who is a bit hard of hearing.

Hope you have a fab time!

Chok dii (good luck in Thai)

This is a picture from Samui's airport. The airport "hall" doesn't have any walls - just a roof. It is a really nice and small airport with friendly staff. It's so different and unique than any other airports in the world where I've ever been.

The ' Rising Sun' offers you a wide range of Thai and Western food.
Is not only the delicious food is also the warm atmosphere that you can feel from the first moment. From the Western kitchen: New Zealand roasted Lamb
From the Thai cuisine: Fried Noodels with Scampi

Hin Yai/Hin Ta

Near Lamai Beach you must go and see these rocks (Hin Yai/Hin Ta), naturally formed into male and female private parts.... The Grandfather rock is easy to spot but the Grandmother rock can be a little more tricky. You need to climb down a huge rock until you're almost sea level and look back. The locals will point you in the right direction.

The story has it that an elderly couple went out sailing to a nearby province but during their voyage, their boat was taken by a storm, the old man & his wife were unable to swim ashore. They died at sea, turning into rocks to be remembered forever.
