Chaweng Cove is about 20 minutes from the airport at the bottom end of Chaweng beach.So it is a little away from the night life but within walking distance.
This is a nice place with a good beach location, air-con bungalow with bathroom,hot water,T.V.,fridge and buffet breakfast.The hotel also has 3 different swimming pools(good for kids) ,a beach front restaurant and a tour service.
The staff here were nice enough to let ue keep our bags there when we checked out early to go for a snorkelling trip for the day because we had a late flight out.They also let us have a shower before we headed to the airport No charge!
Unique Quality: The bungalows are close to the beach in natural surroundings.The beach at this end of Chaweng is better for swimming.There are 3 swimming pools which were so-so with lots of banana chairs.The sun chairs on the beach are better .The restaurants with a nice view of the beach has good Thai food and there is also an extensive western menu ,including wine.Good buffet breakfast included with the room,too.The cove is within walking distance from the shops,night spots and there is a 7-11 next door.Great long cocktails at the beach bar in the evening with friendly staff.

This is a bungalow-style hotel on Chaweng beach. The service was OK. The beach bar was very nice, but be prepared to wait to have your order filled...
Rooms are clean, it has satellite TV, A/C, and telephone.
Just a short walk from the main drag with a lot of really great restaurants. The beach is nice with lots of activity around.
Unique Quality: Overall, I would say that this is a pretty good place.
Be sure to book well in advance to get one of the beach-front cabanas.

We stayed in the Superior Garden View Bungalow. Clean & quiet. Nothing too great with the beach & pool.
Unique Quality: Resort is strategically located "far end" at Chaweng Beach, the longest & most happening beach in Ko Samui. 20 mins walk to the heart of Chaweng or take Tuk-tuk.

Stayed for four nights in this beach resort. We took a standard room and paid 2000B for each night.
The resort is very near to the beach. From my room, it's about 5 mins walk. It is not situated at he heart of Chaweng Beach Road where you can find major shopping complexes. It is located towards the south of Chaweng Beach.
Unique Quality: You are able to have an hour of Thai massage by the beach for only 300B.

This hotel can be considered a budget one. It has all the basic amenities of hot shower, colour tv, bed, mirror/table, and is a 2-minute walk from the beach.
Unique Quality: The outstanding feature of this resort was its food. I find it hard to believe as well but the portion given was more than sufficient, and really quite tasty.

While waiting in Bangkok for my flight to Koh Samui, I was offered a deal if I booked a hotel with my airfare. So after looking through various books, I decided on a 4 night stay at the Chaweng Cove Resotel for 6900bht.
This turned out to be a good plan even though it was a little more expensive then I had planned. This was because it gave me a chance to slowly get adjusted to island life again, as well as meet some great people.
The rooms are fairly large and have a double bed, minibar, air conditioning, TV, hot showers and are kept very clean. There is also lock boxes in the reception area for 20bht, for people who want some extra protection for their goods.
The room prices vary depending on how close you are to the beach. Mine was about mid-range in price, but was still only about a minutes walk away.
Unique Quality: There is a good restuarant and bar right near the beach, and also a pool if a person feels the need, or has small children with them.
At night there is live music at the restaurant starting at 7:00pm until about 12:00am.
They also give out free breakfast coupons providing you are up early enough to get it. The breakfast starts being served at 7:00am and runs until 9:30am.

Buffet brekfast every morning, with a view of the beach no more than ten metres away. quiet at night but only a short walk from the chaotic bars and karaoke blurting onto the street.
You have beach cabin style accomodation, with various luxuries to suit your price range.
air con is a must but is included in even the most moderate price range. mossies were not a problem and each cabin has its own amenites. Security is also of importance and was not an issue here.
you will not be dissapointed.

about usd30 per nite in a double with aircon and hot shower.. there are definitely cheaper places but we wanted a chalet to have the beach feel.. ;) it's situated at one end of chaweng.. nice and quiet place with cozy chalets.. right next to the beach.. perfect for days after a night of partying..
