Koh Samui Hotel in Thailand

Koh Samui is situated in the Gulf of Thailand, 84 kms. East of Suratthani. It has a total area of 247 sq.kms. : 21 kms. Wide and 25 kms. Long. The main ring road lying around the Island is about 50 kms.

Samui hotel

Hotel Resort with two swimming pools and restaurant right on south side of Chaweng beach. Stayed in a private chalet with king size bed, cable tv, bathroom/shower and in room safe. 1500bht a night during low season. Ideal for couples or anyone really.

Unique Quality: 2 pools and in-room safe.

A great place to relax

After backpacking through Cambodia, Vietnam and Laos this was our first stop at a real beach resort. We upped our budget and booked into the Chaweng Resort. When we arrived in Koh Samui we headed for Bophut but the beach wasn't very nice. The resort is in the south end of the beach which is much quieter. You get sun beds on the beach and waitress service so you can really just relax.

If you just turn up you can get a big discount if they have space. We go a good bungalow for 1000bt inc a/c, cable and breakfast. Lots of resaurants were just a short walk away.

Breakfast was buffet style and fairly comprehensive.

Comfortable & well located

Chaweng Resort is a bungalow style resort right on Chaweng beach . The bungalows are mainly in a garden setting except for the more expensive beach front ones.& the honeymoon suite at the front (main road) named the Royal Orchid

Unique Quality: For resonably priced accommodation
Chaweng Resort has most things to ensure a more than comfortable stay, a/c, inroom safe , minibar , very large bed , shower , hot / cold water , hair dryer,sattelite t.v , telephone , great breakfast ,lunch & dinner , 2 pools , on beach deckchairs. It is situated at South Chaweng ,a short walk or songthaew ride away from the main Chaweng area.

This is a view you can never tire of.

This is an afternoon view looking from the middle of Chaweng Beach towards Northern Chaweng.

A restaurant on the beach at south Chaweng.
Eating at one of these is something I recommend everybody experiences at least once in a lifetime.

This is my very good friend Pu,she is from Udon Thani & I met her when she was working at the resort I was staying.

This is the main beach road at Southern Chaweng taken outside Chaweng Resort.

We are looking for -A/C, balcony/terrace, lush tropical gardens and most importantly a thai private outdoor bathroom. We want to "feel secluded" but be within walking distance to eateries , nightlife etc Any recommendations?
