Feng Shui and designer heaven
We stayed here in April 2004. It is a beautiful hotel with very helpful staff. It is situated in the the north of Cheweng which tends to be the quieter end.
The best rooms are the suites as they are off the main road. The Gardens and pool are a delight and with only 41 rooms there is little chance in getting killed in the rush for sun beds.
The restaurant is fab serving both Western and Asian favourites. You must have dinner in a Sala. The bar has fab views of the beach and sea.
Unique Quality: This is a unique hotel. All the rooms are well furnished. The whole hotel is spotless.
The staff are a triumph and a great tribute to the managment. All speak english. The hotel is popular with all nationalities.
the gardens are a total delight so peacful.

Restaurant where you sit in your own 'bungalow'
Hi,
2002, I stayed at Amari Palm Resort. Close by, there where a restaurant where you got you own little hut to sit in, just next to the beach. And they had live preformance.
Does anyone know the name of this place?

If it was next door to the Palm Reef (to your left as you face the sea) it may have been the restaurant / beach huts from the Muang Kulaypan hotel. The architecture is very Zen and it has a black swimming pool. If it isn't that one, sorry can't help you
