We've stayed at Best Western's hotel in New Zealand before and had decent memories of it. Furthermore they were offering an unbeatable promotion over the Net of 5000 baht for 2 inclusive of transfer, 6 meals, 2 nights' stay and 1.5 days tour. Howzat for value for money? Dinner was delectable but we skipped the 2nd day's breakfast of bread and butter. Lunch was just a prepacked packet of rice with vegetables, meat and pineapple. Cold but fun when eaten at the island beach.
The Thai's attention to detail showed in how they decorated a simple pot of floating flowers into a beautiful pattern. It truly brightened our day.
On our 3rd day, the shower drip went dry just before I finished soaping. Since we were in a hurry to check out I didn't bother to complain. The counter staff spoke passable English but seem to be unfamiliar with the neighbouring sights. They tried their best to help though.
