Golden Beach Resort

We loved staying at Golden Beach Resort and could not fault the place at all.

We did not have a booking and the Pavilion Suite cost us about 2600 Baht, this was after a further 10% discount which we had not asked for!

This really was the perfect place for us, lots of lush tropical gardens, all the staff were helpful and friendly, the room was beautiful, lots of space and seating areas, nicely furnished and very clean.

Best of all the bed was very comfortable with the nicest pillows we have slept on anywhere in Thailand!

The bathroom is huge and all in marble with a separate shower and bath.

Golden Beach resort is built around a lovely landscaped pool with great views of the mountain behind.

Breakfast was ample, fresh and hot. We had dinner there one night and it was delicious. Prices for food and drinks are also very cheap.

The location of the hotel is brilliant, no road in front at all just a small pathway that leads up to massage huts and a few bars.

Golden Beach Resort is only a few minutes walk to the main shopping and restaurant areas of Ao Nang and a few seconds walk from the nicest part of Ao Nang Beach.

We enjoyed staying in this resort so much, it was perfect and we will definitely stay there again.

We chose to stay at Golden Beach hotel which is located on Ao Nang beach outside Krabi. The hotel has both regular hotel rooms and bungalows. We chose to stay in a bungalow and that was very nice. We had only a few meters to the pool and the beach is only a few yards away as the hotel is more or less located on the beach. Being in a bungalow you get a bit closer to the nature. We had geckos all over the place (even one inside), frogs, ants and so on. And let’s not forget the mosquitoes by the way :-) I recommend that repellent is brought along because we got quite a few bites during our stay. We booked the hotel on the internet using www.hotelthailand.com and the summer package deal gave us the room for about 2400 baht per night.

Unique Quality: The pool at the hotel was very nice and it varies from about 0.5 meter to about 1.8 meter maybe. And there is a seperate little pool for the kids. Along the side of the pool there are elephants which are spraying water into the pool from their trunks.

It is a beautiful and unique holiday resot with 45 delux rooms, 3 superior suites and 10 pavillions bangalow style. This stunning resort gives a total feeling of relaxation. It is located just at the ANDAMAN SEA. Over from our room, we can see clear blue water of the Andaman Sea. Over to our left, it is a cliff. Our rooms are luxuriously decorated with handi-crafted wodden with 2 private balcony, 2 bathrooms with bathtub/shower, 2 TVs! Our room is big!

We stayed in a bungalow. Very spacious - with a separate bath and shower (kinda strange 'coz they encourage people to save water). The usual min-bar, TV, air-con ... No in-room safe though. Very nice pool indeed - much time can be spent around this poolside.

Unique Quality: You could purchase just about everything in the room - including the mattresses!
FYI: No, it's not flies covering the fruit in the open breakfast nook - it's bees.
You may want to keep the hotel room door closed - geckos don't know it's your room.
